have installed the correct ussb drivers and the pc link software, ive followed all guides and faqs ive come across to the letter yet when i try to format my smc it times out immediately, anyone know what im doing wrong??

cheers

Only thing i can think of is a couple things
1) make sure the connection to the GP32 and PC are connectect firmly and correctly
2) make sure the GP32 is on waiting mode in the PC-Link Icon *just run the computer icon*

if it still doesn't work, make sure drivers installed correctly

Still not the problem, either:
Bad USP port on comp
Bad USP port on GP32
Bad PC-Link Cable

Try to format your SMC with an SMC/Reader, and try after on the GP32, if it'n not work probably the SMC will not work with your GP :(

Thanks for the help but still having no luck T_T

I don't have a card reader so I can't format my SMC that way, I have however, tried another SMC in my GP32 and I still have the same problem.

There are no problems with my USB ports on my PC and I am inserting my SMC correctly (as per the diagram on the GP32 machine)

Any other suggestions ???

Thanks

there doesnt appear to be any way to tell if its a 3.3v smc

where do you guys tend to buy all yours from ?????

im gonna try the process on a buddies computer soon

thanks for all your help !!!

I read somewhere there was a difference between 3.3v and 5.5v SMC (somtihnig like position on somthing :p) but i don't remember where :(
For the SMC Reader, you can found some for less than 10 €, and transfer are faster than with GP itself ;)
