I advise anyone who gets a FLU to seal it up before you do anything with it... lol, mine isn't too bad yet but if I hadn't just forced myself to put it away till tomorrow when I can get the sealant it would be by morning... omg it's a fun lil rig.....

I can run snes games at 166 and maybe higher but that's as high as the em will go...

I'm not sure if you are cheering about my dust or my speed... confusing...

anyhow...I have an otherwise incredible gp32... what's my best method of getting out the dust and sealing it so no more gets in?

or should i just leave what got in and just seal it?

I`m cheering just for fun.

Search the forum for "clearing dust" or something like that, I remeber just posting about this a week ago or so, You should find a couple of topics about this.

And as I said in the thread mentioned above, I would not recommend you to seal your gp32 so you can`t open it again.
Because if you`re new to the gp32, you may not know about the L/R buttons or joystick disfunctions that could happen to your gp32 (no click sounds, not responding at all, some directions not working, etc.), that can easily be repaired by opening it.

personally i would not try to remove any of the dust that is already behind the screen, As i have heard quite a few stories on these board of people trying that and actually getting more dust behind the screen than was already there  . My advice would be, If there is not a lot of dust already behind the screen and you are happy with that then go ahead with the sealing. Btw, Using silicon to seal the screen on the FLU is not 100% permanent as someone has said, As it is quite easy to remove if you really wanted/needed to.

maybe I should mention that this is a completley modded FLU... it has had all tune ups... I don't think I have any reason to want inside even if it was a permanent seal...

Be careful if you attempt to remove any dust. I had a FLU and got a glass screen .. I performed the "mod" myself. Big mistake; I was very careful and used a can of compressed air to lightly blow away any dust that got collected on the LCD. There's a liquid inside these cans that, no matter how well-engineered it is, tries to make its escape in liquid form. This is evidenced by the tiny specks of evaporated liquid that got stuck on my LCD :(

So instead of a few motes of dust, I had some VERY noticeable dots of crap

Anyway, I sold it to a co-worker, and got a BLU instead. Zero dust. I will not get a glass screen either (I fucking hate dust!)

(shamelessly staying off-topic)

Went to see Rammstein live 2 weeks ago... And it was sweet B)

(back on topic... to justify this post)

I've had my FLU for just over a year now, and I don't really have any dust problem. I was aware of the potential problem and was planning to open my GP32 to seal it, but I never got around to it...
Maybe I'm just lucky :D

Go to staples and buy a keyboard vac. I know it sounds stupid but its worth a try, And it wont harm ur gp32. Some of them are really powerful and can really clean your system up. I use mine for the edges on my xbox cause dust goes in them and its hard to take out. :D

Actually ... that's not stupid at all.
