So I got home from work today and felt brave. I reached for my pandora and the new LCD cables that arrived. Taking a breath I removed the first screw... Ah b******cks to this.
In short I successfully fixed the faulty LCD cable on the first go. The only bits that caused an issue were the screen bezel (argh was held together so well) and the hinge was a nightmare to get out.
It was not as fiddly as I first thought really, as long as time and care is taken then it's all good.
Pandora back to full working order (for now). At least I know what to expect when it happens again
Well after some gaming and sysadmin usage screen seems to still be working correctly. Get in.
Next thing to figure out are my nubs, left nub has a tendancy to go mental and throw the mouse cursor around the screen. For now I have disabled this but would like to fix it.
Has anyone else had this issue with the nubs like this?
