First Gp2x's Have Arrived

Trying to order from the USA or from outside europe isn't a good idea right now, as you will pay all europe wide taxes, i will have changed it to remove them next week when our export registration arrives.

Thanks,

Craig

Thanks for the update Craig! They're looking verrry tempting :p

Wait! TWO switches for the diagonals?

Does that mean there are THREE each of up, left, right & down ? And they are paired at the diagonals, so there are still only eight seperate directions, but the diagonals are more direct.

Have you stuck a stick in to feel how responsive it is?

It will be very hard to tell how responsive it is, as he hasn't be able to get one to boot yet :)

Good job on not overpricing SD cards.

And that NAND memory. Stuff is storeable on it?

On last question, Is there programs ready for it? ;)

Are you telling me that GP32 makes clicks on the joypad? How extremy annoying. However, feeling when you change from one direction to another is a very good thing, but please make it soundless :)
It wasn't really loud, but there was a quite clicking.

Actually, when using only 8 directions it would be quite annoying you could feel 16 directions on the joypad and vice versa. So a completly smooth joypad might be the best option.

Phil:
NAND memory is for storage.

Hanz:
Thanks for the info, if it was quiet then perhaps it wouldn't have been annoying to me either :)

Can someone just stop my fears about the TV out !

If this is true i would love this, bit like having a portable console to hook up to the TV.

I remember reading about the original GP32 that the RF port meant you could link it up to your TV. However this wasnt the case, it was used mostly for 2 player links.

Now i'm reading the same thing about this GP32 i'm excited as hell but want to make sure this is 100% true

So if i get a lead (where would i get one from ?) then i can link up this new GP32 to the TV and play games there ?

I just dont want to get my hopes up as like i say i remember reading a review of the original GP32 and they mentioned this but it never seemed to work

All info I've read says that GP2X will have TV out so you can plug it to a regular TV. Don't know what type of signal or contact it will be.
I heard S-video and audio out the headphone socket.

Are GPH providing their own lower levels libraries than what people have been talking about. Or will we first have to wait for some pre compiled libraries to be made so that low level emulators can be made. Whilst in the mean time SDL ports keep us occupied???

so how many are in the first order and how many are left unclaimed? I NEED 2, not just need 2, but NEED 2. but I will settle for 1, i'm sure my sister will understand. When is batch 2 going to be ready if batch one is all used up and gone, before christmas i hope.
