with the success of the cps2 emulator,
do you think there is any chance of a final burn alpha emulator?
there were some cool shooters on that system.
anyone?

It would be silly to port this. We have perfect neogeo and cps2. The port that really needs to be done is a port of the psp's cps1 emulator.

We should port the PSPs NeoGeo emu too. If the speed of the CPS2 emu with a faster CPU is any indication, NeoGeo would run faster at a lower clock rate than GnGeo does on the GP2x.

i thought that final burn was a system.
sorry.
i seem to remember looking up a few games that only ran on final burn.
afterburn was the system.
i think.

nevermind. sorry.

iirc, Final Burn emulates Outrun, Afterburner et al (including Power Drift).

I would very much like to see those games running on my 2x - especially Outrun.

D.

Latest source is this I think: http://caesar.logiqx.com/zips/emus/multi/f..._src_029523.zip
This page also lists the games supported, quite an extensive list, although I am not sure which is covered by MAME2x or not (http://caesar.logiqx.com/php/emulator.php?id=finalburnalpha).

I believe there have been ports to Gizmondo in addition to Xbox and Windows, so I can only assume that there is not too much assembler code used, if at all.

well, for instance, guwange.
what would we need to port to play that?
it runs on final burn but its not cps2 or neogeo.
and i cant find what system it is.
anyone?

It is supported by RAINE also.

According to http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=803 :

It runs on CAVE 1st Generation Hardware, so a custom arcade board of some sort I would assume.
