I have a dreamcast with dreamsnes, and its pretty fast. Is SNES9xGP faster at 156mhz thanx dreamsnes for all you GP owners with dreamcasts? I ask cuase im gonna get a GP for Xmas, and im looking forward to some of the games i have for dreamcast (ie many CD's of Roms)

I guess this is a pretty fair comparision

DreamSnes with sound on = Snes9XGP @ 156mhz with sound off

I've used both, but my memory of DreamSnes is a bit fuzzy because I haven't used it since I chipped my Xbox :D .

I dont have a dreamcast but im deff gona get one if the link cable takes off. SnesMu (faster than snes9xgp) on my gp has rescently been given a new lease of life since i got rid of the fps counter and used the 156 version. I rekon if another release with the selection menu cleaned up a bit, an option to turn on or of the fps counter and a clock speed selector then this would be a permanent addition to my smc. Oh and maybe sort out the layering in mario games.

hey buddy, think I can get a copy of your hacked snesemu then? (156 MHz with no FPS)

don't look fwd to another reelase as it's long since cancelled, as far as I can tell.

I use the emu quite often, it's really good w/ a lot of games.

I've tried DreamSnes and I've tried Snes9xGP at 156mhz, and I would have to say they are the same. I used FF II and Super Mario World to test them out and they ran at practically the same speed both with sound on.

yeah, 4 is what i meant anyway ;) ......its just confusing when people dont include the NES FF games when they refer to them...... :)

Id say they were both on par with each other :D you just need to get used to them

Well, it turns out im not getting a GP32  im shocked, and overall dissapointed.

My parents tell me that my whole xmas "budget" is going towards lacrosse equipment. Now, I LOVE lacrosse alot, but not so much as to splurge a whole xmas on it :(
