Release Dosbox

I finally got might & magic III to work. I have been waiting for a very long time for a handheld on which I could play PC RPGs.
Thanks for all the help

One thing that bugs me is that it says that DboxFE is included with the download, but I only have dosbox.pnd.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, I'm the guy who wrote the tutorial on the wiki. Please tell me if you managed to find dboxfe in the end, and if so, why you didn't see it the first time. Maybe the wording can be changed to make it clearer in some way.

PNDs can contain more than one "program", so dboxfe should have been in the start menu (emulator) along with dosbox.

As for playing Amberstar, if you check the UAE4All thread in the beta section, you'll see that I have a long discussion about getting Dragonflight to work that I think will also apply to Amberstar. Basically, I'm waiting until john4p adds a "numpad mode" for the d-pad, because currently you can't move diagonally, so playing the game is a bit awkward. You should also use the alternate "nubs" version of UAE4All to play it, so that you can use the nubs to move the mouse.

Download doesn't work. :(

file doesn't exist. And in the Apps site there seems to be an older version of Dosbox. Where can I get the latest version? It is still not in the Repo where I usualy search. ^^"

You are right, this download doesn't work any longer. I can't tell you where to get an up-to-date version..

But maybe this is a good thing, as Pickle could compile a fresh version and upload it to repo.openpandora.org fixing the remaining major bug first, of course. :)

ok, I must be missing something, but the frontend is not included in the download (there is only dosbox.pnd). Or maybe it is already included, but I don't know how to launch it...
Could you point me to a link that includes the frontend ?
Thanks for all the help.

I think you are not handling the .pnd files correctly. You have to put them in a special folder on your SD cards, then they get detected from the system automatically. You will get entries in your xcfe start menu or minimenu if everything is right. You DONT run pnd files by double clicking on them or such.. see http://pandorawiki.org/Main_Page ;)

The problem came from using an older version of Dosbox that was not packaged with dboxfe.
I managed to trace another one that was up to date & everything works fine.
Thanks
