I ported my frontend, DoomRunner, to Pandora. It's written in C++/Qt. It supports multiple "profiles" with a modern gaming-style interface, which makes switching between sets of wads easy. All of it's features should work, but I haven't taken the time to test most of them.

By default, it comes with a modified button layout, which should be very nice and natural on the Pandora.

Here's the layout:

L/R triggers: strafing

D-Pad: moving

B button: shooting

X button: running

A button: activating an object

Y button: "best" weapon switch

Del key: Automap toggle

Start/Alt button: "Pause" (Menu is accessed with Fn+Q)

Q key: Quit

W key: autorun

E key: 180 degree turn

R key: screenshot

A key: smaller view

S key: larger view

The menu keys are layed out as:

D-Pad: Navigation

B button: select an item

X button: go back

Del key: Exit menu

The default screen resolution is also set to 800x480 instead of 640x480, removing the black bars on the sides of the screen.

The website with my PC and Mac version (as well as the source, packaged with both versions) is located at

You should upload this to the repo.

I will as soon as I know that it all works properly! Right now I'm uploading the pnd to my server (forgot to do that before I posted to the forum... ) I'll edit my post as soon as it's done uploading. It's a 13 mb file because I included the shareware Doom wad and FreeDoom wads with example configurations, but my internet connection is being slow...

you can also "sideload" the pnd from your server to the repo so it doesn't have to rely on being uploaded again ;)
