Materials you need

An N64
Duct Tape
50 or so D-cell batteries
Soldering iron and lots of solder
Voltage filter/smoother
Small portable color TV

First, be sure you are using a jacket you dont mind losing, and duct tape the batteries all along the outside of the coat, making sure each is held down.

Then solder all the negatives to the positives of the battery beside it. Run the final leads from the first and last batteries through the voltage filter and then solder the output to the input of the DC adapter of the N64.

Next, strip out all the guts of the N64, lining the inside of the coat with all the circuit boards, running the joystick wires and tv out through the sleeves.

Then tape the portable tv to the left side of the jacket, connecting the TV's adapter to the other output of the voltage filter, and carefully slip on the jacket. Now taking a cartridge, lift up the back of the coat, slide the cartridge onto the cartridge port, and then bring it down again, taking care to make sure the cartridge doesn't dig into your back.

Then play N64 anywhere you want and pray that there's no lightning storms around.

Since this is N64 related, whats the best N64 emu for xbox?

Anyone remember that portable gamecube?? That was cool!

a rom file, is a binary copy of the data stored inside a rom chip (inside your plastic cart)
you cannot make an interpreter to interpret the data files of a rom. There are no data files. The game engine, data files (music, video) are all inside the rom.

However, it is fairly well known where a lot of the data 'files' are located within the ROM for many games.

The rom uses the hardware, so to emulate the rom you need to emulate the hardware, and without trying out every single possible combination on every single level, you can just say "I'll only support X" unless you know the game absolutely doesn't use it.

N64 is possible, but will never be playable. Just admit people and get on with life. If you want portable N64 emulation that is playable, buy a decent Laptop.

Now, who was talking about snail farming?

But Corn didn't emulate N64 hardware, it was more of an interpreter for the roms...
