Hi Guys.
I hope i´m right here.

I got a GP32 Flu and I´m using it for watching movies and playing roms. Do you think, that i need a GP2X? So i dont know much about technical things so i don´t really now if the GP2x is so much better :)

Can i watch movies better with the GP2x? My problem with the Flu was, that it was not really bright. And do i get a better performance with playing roms, can i play better roms? My Genesis Emulater sometimes lags on the GP32 for instance.

Thanks for help mates.

Greetings

Ok, then i´ll buy one after Xmas :)

Btw do u know a way to make the movies brighter with my gp32 ? xD im using virtual dub :p

The GP2X is really nice,. but after three different joystick caps, I am still not as satisfied with it as I am with my NLU GP32.

I am not saying "don't get a GP2X", but be prepared to possibly be a little disappointed with the joystick.

you can change the brightnes with some key, i dont remember which on through...
You could get the latest version of gp32x.de and check the readme

but can you fit a whole movie onto a 128 smc? imo if your more into emulation adn media, the 2x is heaven, if your more into homebrew stick with the 32 (for now) but yeah the 2x's movie player is great (alot better than the 32's from what i can remember)

No all wrong! Keep your GP32. Much cheaper, just as good as the GP2X and much better battery life!

How does the Neo Geo emulator run on the GP32? Is Megadrive full speed with sound? How is SNES? Just as good? I think not.

Plus the BACKLIT high contrast deep color screen on the GP2X is like 100X better than that faded washed out dust ridden GP32 FLU screen.

Nah, Since I've got the alternative cap it works like a charm. Just gotta but some super glue to let the f*cking thing stick on the 2X. Keep losing the damn thing... <_<

Just like my SD-Card btw...

The biggest disappointment for me are that Rylehs great emulators arent on the GP2X. Do miss many of those emulators, worked so well and were excellent. Still having trouble with the GP2X MSX and Colecovision emulators on the GP2X

I have no dust whatsoever. And my screen is not washed out. And BTW.. didn't the original arcade machines have washed out screens? People are even trying to emulate that effects nowadays. . (Scanlines, TV mode, Triple buffer..)

He sort've confirmed a couple of days ago that they are indeed coming sometime... yay!
