Developers: What's Your Job?

I used to be a Software Engineer, but I bailed out for Information Security when the market went to cr@p 6 years ago.

Information Security has been a great place to work. It's always interesting, but I miss programming... But I don't miss getting treated like a code monkey. I actually like it so much that I passed up a job offer at a Canberra based game studio with the possibility of working on the next x-com game. :D

Anyway, when I used to program for a living it was Java, C++ and ANSI C.

Test Analyst specialising in Java Enterprise stuff like JCAPS and XML. I find it quite satisfying when I've found a critical defect and it blows out the whole test system and makes the Project Manager go red in the face :p

Application Integration Specialist...

which I think they just made up to sound cool. Works out to some Palm and PC coding and forcing it all to work together nicely.
