Hi. :)

Just wanna ask if is your Wiz also so slow when copying files to SD card. For me 3 Megs take 2 minutes.
Same with NAND.
But when I use my card in Cardreader, it copies one 500 Megs movie in 2 mins - LOL

Is this normal or is this symptom of failing cable?

No this seems to be quite normal. At least it's that slow here, too.

Depends how many files you are also sending. For example: if you're sending a single 3MB file it will be fast. However, of there are LOADS of small files in those 3MB, like texts, pictures, executables and such, it will take MUCH longer, because every time a file is sent - a connection with the device must be established (or something like that). Also, the NAND in the wiz is a pretty slow one.

Yeah, file transfers for me only went about 600KB/s

Hi,

AFAIK, the main cause is that the WIZ does not work like a card reader, where the computer can access the SD card directly as an external mass storage.
The FW must kinda emulate this to enable the access as the card is mounted in a "normal" Linux environment. That slows down the transfer rate.
(Sorry if that was very inprecise and incomplete, but I think it gives the basic idea.)
