The below pic is the start of a crack, currently its very thin but I can see it progress across and down towards the screen casing edges. I have ordered some sugru. I was wondering would sugru fix a crack this thin and how to get it in without getting it into the screen casing edges?

2nd pic shows a crack forming on top of the right hand hinge.

I used to work for a company repairing laptops, I used to repair the major brand names Toshiba, HP/Compaq, Acer, Apple, IBM/Lenovo etc and back then their "Pocket Pc computers" this included full casing strip out and replacement and Mainboard component repair etc so I am fully aware of opening/handling procedures.

SO was wondering if I order a full replacement Pandora case and LCD cable etc and when/if it gets bad enough I'll replace it.

Is the LCD top case a 1 time job? I mean once opened cannot be put back together as there is glue and clips that will snap? And repairs usually mean replace top casing (wasn't uncommon for some models of laptops manufactured by Compal for HP due to casing stress in opening)

Or can it be put back together without physical damage?

Sugru is a good bet and if you check back a few posts on PandoraPress blogsite, ED upped a video dismantling a pandora for LCD cable repair which shows how the screen can be removed safely and put back in (in your case perhaps into anew case, if things go bad) :)
