Ok, ok, onpon4 got it. :p They've somehow managed to make computing seem less interesting to people than an extinct language. This seems nigh unthinkable to me.

"Extinct language" is an actual term to describe certain languages, and Latin isn't one of them; it's a dead language. It's not extinct unless there are no speakers at all (and thanks to Vatican City and Latin classes in Europe, there are Latin speakers).

My bad. I actually didn't know that - I thought that "dead" and "extinct" were interchangeable when it comes to languages.


Thanks for the info. I do appreciate corrections when I goof up on stuff. :)
