i asked that because i tried the gingerbread app, which unfortunately corrupts an entire sd card,so i wanted to be sure that i can "sacrifice" that one..unless there's a way to not corrupt anything
Remember, you never launch applications by double clicking on the pnd - and you do not use the file manager ('Thunar') to launch them either. Once a PND is placed in the correct folder on a card, a launch icon that you click on will be created in one of several locations -
If the PND is in pandora/desktop or pandora/apps it's launch icon will appear on the desktop and you double click that or highlight it and press enter.
if the PND is in pandora/menu it's launcher will appear in one of the categories in the menu (accessed by pressing the pandora button or the symbol on the bottom left corner of the screen). Call up the menu, use the D-Pad or cursor to find the app you want, click on it or highlight it and press enter.
There is, as others have said too, always the possibility of corrupt PND files - when you download any check they are the size that the download page says they should be.
