I have a dev. BOB, and got a movie to play, but when trying to load a game in MAME, it freezes at the game set-up screen.

Just wondering if the transfer speed is fast enough. Thanks in advance ..

I'd personally put your emulators on an SD and put your ROMs on the external drive... I guess some programs might complain about not being on the SD card, but I don' see why there would be a problem with running an emulator from HDD.

Exactly what I was thinking ... especially those NeoGeo & Sega CD games ;)

Many thanks again :D

I never tried it with mame but when I was testing the psx emulator I was running it off my hdd and it worked fine. But I could understand other programs not running that way.
