It looks like I can do everything I need and more using the Pandora console, which I was mainly planning on taking with me on my travels. But when at home is it possible to connect it to a larger (HDMI/AV/DVI) monitor as a temporary setup?

You cannot get the official TV out cables yet (if at all), but you can get custom ones Here. Things to keep in mind is that the picture will be displayed in the Pandoras native resolution, and not in HD.

Yes and no. You can go through the TV out on the EXT port. That'd give you about the same resolution as what's currently on the Pandora, except bigger.

There has been some success with getting a USB video out working which would give you higher resolutions, but it is kind of slow and really only suited for things that don't require high frame rates, spreadsheets and web browsing, that sort of thing.

Other than that, not really.
