I've been itching to play some atari 2600 games lately and all my games are in my parents shed until i get moved into my house so, has anybody used the atari emus? Which is the best? I'm guessing they run good since it is the 2600 that is being emulated, and also is there an emulator for the 7800?

Thanks.

The atari 7800 is not emulated as yet on gp32, and the 2600 is emulated rather poorly (low compatibility).

The Atari 7800 currently has better emulation on the GP32 than the 2600.
The Atari800 emu has 7800 support :D

I'm confused ! For non-Atari users back in the day whats the Atari 7800 ?

I've got an Atari ST emulator (Excellent), the Atari 2600 emulator is the VCS one isnt it ? The Atari 800 emulator is an early 80's computer with some ok arcade hits but whats the Atari 7800 ?

As has already been said, atari 2600 is poor as it's based on an obsolete pc emu that hasn't been used in years. Most games either don't work at all, have major graphical problems rendering them unplayable or has collision detection problems because of the frameskip (and playing at fs 0 is a no go)

the gp32 does not have atari 7800 emulation, the atari 800 emu has 5200 support not 7800 :)

And a good place to find out about the atari consoles is Atari Age
