Asus Nexus 7 - Google Jelly Bean

Thats it just been confirmed HMV Curries and Tesco will be stocking the nexus 7 at the same price(without the 15 pound google play gift)and a free movie.

I have no need of the Q at all right now, my xbox is my media centre. Streaming media is a great idea in theory but I, and a large number of UK residents, have meagre internet connections. On a good day I can pull about 6mb but if you have one person in the kitchen on the internet, kids in the lounge watching a movie and me on my phone, you all grind to a halt. My biggest gripe with it is if your phone line goes down then you have nothing. I just don't think we're set up for this cloud based world yet.

Agreed until internet is free for all this really is a no go for alot of people im lucky i have 30Meg so no probs there but im still sceptical of this whole cloud set up big brother is watching you more than ever.

I do like the idea of storing my photos and home movies on the cloud so that I don't have to worry about hardware degradation or damage, but it does worry me that all of it could be out there with the potential of being harvested or used for sinister purposes. The conspiracy theorist in me wonders whether complicated algorithms will be scanning our photographs in order to target better adverts at us

I wonder what kind of results come up when they scan the pics of me wearing a bra?

I think that would spark a home land security warning to the FBI . The pic would be flagged with the heading 'Major Threat'

Your photo will be used on singles dating ads "hey babe, I'm so horny for your corn cob right now, pm me ;) "

I got mine today! Ordered from Ebuyer like a week ago, I expected the Play Store pre-orders to get theirs first then mine to come a few days later. Nice unexpected surprise to see a 'Dispatched!' email yesterday. Turns out Ebuyer are pretty much the first company in the world to send them. I'm not sure Google will be impressed. Ebuyer even has some left over, so people were buying them at like 3pm on Thurs and got them on Friday.

It's flipping quick too. I thought my Galaxy Nexus running Jelly Bean was pretty snappy and fluid but this thing is the next level again.

It's well made, light enough to hold no problems, nice screen although the auto brightness can seem a little low but I do think its better for your eyes! max brightness almost burnt my retinas! Got my £15 Play Store credit plus a free copy of Transformers too.

Just received mine from HMV pre order wow that was quick didn't expect till fri this is a smart piece of kit fast intuitive brill screen downloaded the overclock app and oc'ed to 1,850mhz per core and its running smooth as butter without a hitch tried shadowgun nova3 and riptide and it looks as good as the prime also mame4droid reloaded works brilliantly the transformer has the edge here with higher games but id say its the best portable mame experience yet (just need a universal controller dock)craig product 3 possibly ? only cons i can see have been disccused at length here no sd no hdmi and home screen remains in portrait mode constantly ( think they've used a phones firmware for this) but bang for your buck you cant go wrong also its the most comfortable tablet to hold i've owned that soft back really makes a difference.

I'm really peeved with Google, I preordered directly form them on the 29th and I haven't received mine yet. What is the point in ordering directly from them if you aren't going to be the first to receive it?
