Since the new GP2X screens don't have scanlines, for those who enjoy the 'TV' effect how difficult or effective would it be to incorporate an artificial scanline filter into emulators, much like they do on most PC emulators?

Would it be a useless addition? Slow down the emu?

Just wondering...

i have a offering for you, let us swap screens!

Heh. It's not so much for myself (the new screen looks great to me), but for those few who are complaining about the new screen.

i always enable scanlines when playing arcade and console emulators on my PC - it doesn't look proper, otherwise.

It's not about if they look proper. It's about the kinda game. Even if I play Metal Slug on a mofo big cinema screen I'll love. Anyways, filters suck ass :)
