    Hi all !

@EvilDragon : a new racing game from PixelHeart is ready for pledges on Kickstarter:

There are some in-game sponsoring options I think could be of interest to you and your shop :)

    What do you think ?

    Cheers, Magic Sam

EDIT: new sponsoring prices on July 5th :)

It's CRT resolution. and 100 MHz PowerVR2 Video... And it's about gameplay.

I had CRTs running at over 1440 lines back when they were a thing, but I guess you actually mean TV resolutions, which only has about 240 lines (in the US) if you drive it progressively (or a theoretical 480 lines if you display different frames in each of the interlaced fields).

    Hi all,

That's the kind of in-game sponsoring I'm talking about:

    Code:
    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2035357359/arcade-racing-legends-dreamcast/posts/2551357?ref=ksr_email_backer_project_update_registered_users
Just for Games (https://www.justforgames.com/) will have their own car in Arcade Racing Legends.

I think this could be a nice opportunity for @EvilDragon to promote his shop and / or the Pyra :)

    Cheers, Magic Sam

    Hi all,

    Gamoniac.fr just joined the fun:

@EvilDragon : will we ever see a dragon themed VIP car in this game ? :p

    Cheers, Magic Sam

P.S: I understand 3k€ for a VIP car in a Dreamcast game is a lot of money. A 850 499€ dragonbox.de side banner would be just as cool though :)

Paying money for appearing on a niche boring video game on a niche outdated non selling console.

    Nice.

    @Xcl4m4t10n : I love your optimism ;) :p

Please don't forget that @EvilDragon sells, even publishes "niche boring game(s) (and accessories) for that niche outdated non selling console":

    https://www.dragonbox.de/en/201-for-sega-dreamcast
    https://www.dragonbox.de/en/cables/485-dreamcast-rgb-scart-cable-cables-4260416651500.html

Quite a large chunk of our community here on these boards belongs to that retro-gaming niche, and dragonbox.de caters for it. Some of the few weirdos who will buy that "boring game" could see dragonbox' logo in-game and potentially become regular customers, bringing in more money for the Pyra in the process. For a budget ranging from 850 499 to 3k€, that's (relatively) cheap, clever marketing in my book :D

And that "niche outdated non selling console" is also doing quite well if you ask me ;)

Yeah, I get what you are saying. That there will not be many eyeballs, but at least these eyeballs, for example, a game review on youtube, will be the right kind of geeks.
Sure, I'd like to put an array on the moon and display the Pyra logo together with some text like: "Hack the planet". It would reach lots of newspapers... but it's expensive. Something cheaper would be a rocket to the tesla in space and glue a Pyra to the dashboard...
And just for 500, you can make history...

other ways you can help: stickers for pedestrian crossings (where you can watch the pole for at least half a minute before it gets to green)

    Hi all,

The game is now funded (25k€ pledged, and raising).

REPLIC-ART, CASH EXPRESS, STORYBIRD STUDIO, TOKYO SUSHI and Rush On Game will also have their own VIP cars in-game:

Hmm, sounds a little like spam when you put it like that. I don't think I'll be buying this if it comes available to me in the future then.

    Hi @levi :)

I'm not sure I understand your post... Am I spamming the boards with news regarding that game ? Or did you mean the over abundance of brands in that game makes it look like spam ?

    Cheers, Magic Sam

Certainly more the latter than the former. Cash Express seems to be a payday loan firm with retail establishments (so even more punitive credit rates I guess). The other brands seem less problematic though, as far as I can tell. The way you capitalised most of the brands did put me in mind of a spammers post, but you're clearly not a spammer.
