I love dance dance revolution and others benami games!!! i have found a very nice freeware called " DANCE WITH INTENSITY " who reads dwi and mp3. (arg my english is very crap!!!) is it hard to convert a program for gp32 who can read the same dwi files (2 mega the dwi with the mp3 files!!) thx for help, arch

A) This should be in the 'wishes' section
B) If it is open source then yes it can be ported although the mp3 playback would take a lot of the CPU.
C) Controls issue (dance mat to d pad kind of defies the point)
D) You can always play the GBC version

oups sorry for the wishes section, i didnt know.. yes,it is an open version (there is the source code on the site). for the pad, i configure the game as gbc games. and the gbc games rox but the real music with voice is a paradise for my hears :) lol, thx for the answer , arch

search for STEPMANIA, which is much better than DWI. And no, it can not be ported. Search these forums for the reasons why. There were several, but I can't really remember. :D

lol, step mania rox but i think that it is really possible to create a simple program for gp32 to read smi files (it is only mp3 + steps) , arch

Also, there is DDR and Beatmania on gameboy color, they play ok, and are very small. There are about 8 different versions, so lots of songs, and play flawless on fgb.

Enjoy.

playing this on anything else is gay. if you want to hit something to the music, hit yourself. or the drums. or anything.
and in addition, it would be really annoying to press jumps on the GP32.

Better would be a Vib Ribbon type game. Very simple graphically (so the MP3 can play along side it) and you could use a simple file rendered on a PC to determine the obstacle pathe instead of using a Fourier transform. The same war DWI and Stepmania does (an mp3 file, and a file with the step information).

I agree also I think it would make the game alot easier. It's just not the right kind of game to play on a handheld imo.
