I've had the Gp2x two days now. Yesterday Windows could sort of detect the gp2x as a "Usb linux storage gadget" but now, I've reinstalled windows today and it won't pick up the GP2x when it is plugged in.

I've updated USB drivers for my motherboard.

Any other ideas?

I've got a slow one I'm using - is sneaker netting really the only way?
Whats sneaker netting mate?
On updating your usb drivers, it seems that most people have joy by using usb1 rather than 2.

I've had some success with USB1 on Linux but I find I often have to go through the following sequence:

1) Connect from the settings menu with the cable connected
2) Disconnect and reconnect the cable at the PC end

Before the GP2X is recognised. This may be the same for Windows.

sneaker net as in the network that relies on your walking around (in your sneakers) with physical media.

...just having to swap physical media over all the time.

Thanks for the suggestions - Haven't worked out Linux yet but I can get windows to reliably connect by pulling up the GP2x usb options screen - seems to make Windows wake up.
