I wound up getting one of the earliest "dodgy unit" BLU+ devices, so, yeah, I kind of regret it. One of the main emulators I wanted to take advantage of, OpenSNES9xGP, is still broken with white bars, and so far I haven't had much luck fixing it since the source is so ancient it doesn't even compile with a modern GCC (and since it was apparently originally written on Windows, which causes a bunch of other problems).
DrMD is great, though. Hopefully the next version will fix the white bar during startup, along with adding DAC and some other stuff. I'm looking forward to that.
But generally, my BLU+ has been a lot more work than fun. I've spent hours researching, fixing code, testing, and doing all kinds of work for it, and not very much time at all playing,
