Ok, it is the second time, i started an RPG on the Pandora and i seem to have gotten another one (after Grandia), that first seems to work, but isn't playable in the long run.

(Reminds me of my "Super Castlevania"-run on the Caanoo where after some levels you notice, that the arearotation doesn't work and you're not able to see where you are anymore...).

Tried with different (european) files, but nothing changed, regardless of the savingmethod:

Game freezes randomly with a very painful loud sound at some points (screen changes: change to fighting screen and sometimes area change)

and now there is a point (casual fight), were it happens with a rate of 100%.

Nearly everytime a choose something on an open handheld-device and say to me "Ok, let's beat this (again) and don't touch another game from this moment on", something like that seems to happen. *pissed*

It was the same with Frogatto too.

Any Ideas?

Better Emu than GPSP anywhere?

Tried that before and it was veeeery slooooow.

Any ways to speed it up?

Just overclocking + frameskip as far as I remember, also you could try this emulator out for size.

Update: Am currently playing game with a USA rom via gPSP everything is working so far. :)

Yes it does work, however some time during the game you will encounter the freezing glitch (happens on all gpsp versions/ports).

If you want to spend $5 you can get this app from the google play store and run it under android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.explusalpha.GbaEmu

Its an optimized port of VBA-M as it says in the description. Or if you can wait, he will put the source code here: http://code.google.com/p/emu-ex-plus-alpha/ after he updates the iOS and WebOS ports. The changes he made can then be compiled back into a normal VBA-M executable with hopefully better speed.
