I'm not trying to be provocative or anything but why shouldn't I buy a cheap laptop or tablet. It costs less and has better specs. Again not trying to be provocative.
What it has over a laptop is portability, show me a laptop you can fit in your pocket, or easily use while standing on a train.
What it has over a tablet is physical controls, tactile feedback.
Of course there are many other factors to take into consideration, and I have to agree with ekianjo, look around the forums, there have been several such discussions. Ultimately though it depends on your own requirements.
