All them tiny Handheld who shall not deserve its own Thread

I have now a few different Launchers installed on my Flip2: The Retroid Launcher works, but got some Bugs like its dosnt show all Apps, and i plan to play also some Android Games on this thing (Stardew Valley, Turtles Shredders Revenge, etc) , Daijisho dont let me Chose Mgba for GBC and GB even though its supports these Systems .. , so im now at Beacon Launcher ..
I will also try this PSP Style Launcher which would be quite fitting for this Pocket PSP ^^

I allready did play through Super Mario Land, so even DPAD Zentric Games are now big issue, allthough the DPAD and Buttons are under the Nubs, and i did play yesterday the Proloque Levels in Return to Castle Wolfenstein on the PS2 which did work quite good whit Nubs as well ^^ Im just not that good in Shooters but using some Savestates brough me now to the Point where the Game did start on the PC ..

Played with a Miyoo Flip today. It's very compact, I like it. I guess the placement of the joysticks can make it somewhat akward, using a trigger while controlling the joystick stretches your hand.
The screen was bright and crisp. It ran Half-Life 1 smoothly, but the installed version is in Chinese (I'm not good in understanding this). I ran a PS1 game which wasn't a perfect experience, I guess it can be due to the emulator (or settings) as PSP ran okay (~30fps). It will differ per game and I didn't run many from same console type.

I received the Retroid Flip2 (black) today. Didn't have time to explore everything yet.

First impressions: screen looks great, it feels okay when holding it, sound is fine, controls feel good. It worked good with headphones via 3,5mm jack.

What I didn't like: the screen jumps to it's prefered angle, which is a good angle but still... and the official lanyard doesn't fit into the official carrying case which annoyed me more than it should. Also inserting the SD-card was somewhat a hassle due to the plastic protective flap. The micro SD is already small and the slot isn't directly at the outside, so you need to squeeze it in akwardly. Luckily you usually don't change it often. It at least confirms 1TB is supported.

The lanyard fits when you move the Plastic bit to the End, then its hangs out of the Case a bit when its closed, i did not test my carry Case yet
Whit the SD Slot is something which is quite anoying, these tiny Micro SD Cards are quite fiddly on its own, but then also an Door which did not open completly makes it quite though to get it out and in expecially whit short fingernails .. , i could the next time try to use the Tweezers of my SAK

Anbernic RG Slide - looks familiar, but is much bigger than an actual PSP Go

I played a few PSP games on the Flip2. I enjoy that. The screen still looks great, the sounds is good (I do usually have the volume pretty low) and the controls are fine. The only annoyance with the controls is the default configuration of the triggers. Top right trigger is same as the PSP one, while the bottom is some frame-skip-function or something. If you press by accident you're in for an unexpected surprise.
I still have to look into getting the controllers working properly in my homebrew project, as the Flip2 runs Android I can run my hobby projects there to.

I just remembered how I used to get hand cramps while playing the OG PSP. I have the same problem on my Abxylute One. Thin devices are difficult.

Having Android on one of those is neat, huge software catalogue. I should try and build an app in Godot some day.

Just noticed there's two SoC's available and the non-Snapdragon one is sold out. Which one did you guys get? I assume SD is better for emulation at 30 bucks more.

The SD is much faster but draws more power, so battery life can be less. But it enables Nintendo Switch emulation if you're into that.
I remember those cramps, the Vita was already an improvement. The Flip2 is more like DS/Pyra as you hold it at a different angle. The joysticks feel more like a controller compared to the more flat Pyra joysticks. Also the triggers have a bit more travel. The Pyra has the joysticks more to the middle, which I like as it's more of a natural angle. But it's still okay on the Flip2. The D-pad on the Pyra feels nice and the Flip2 feels more clicky just like ABXY buttons, but it's fine.
