not sure if its been mentione yet, but hweres a quote from Senile Teams (BOR) site:

Age of the Beast
Right, Senile Team's new game will be a swords & sorcery game called Age of the Beast. It's still in an early developmental phase, but we can already tell you this:

- It will be based on an adaptation of the BoR engine
- It will not be backwards compatible with BoR
- It will support running, and many other new moves
- It will support animated backgrounds
- It will support 16-bit, 44100 KHz stereo sound (MP3)
- It will feature an all-new, original soundtrack
- It will feature all-new, original characters
- It will support 4 players

So what we can't tell you is when it'll be finished, but it will take a long time. The good news is that it will be worth the wait.

Goals
With Beats of Rage (BOR) Senile Team created one of the best, perhaps the best, homebrew game. Now we've taken on an even bigger challenge; making the best swords & sorcery game we can!

Only time will tell if we can manage to implement all our ideas. But whatever the exact outcome, it will be pretty cool indeed.

Platforms
BOR was released for pc, Dreamcast, PS2, xbox, and GP32 (and is currently being ported to Linux). We're aiming for a similarly universal release for Age of the Beast. When the game is close to release we will contact the porters, so everyone can enjoy Age of the Beast :)

looks pretty sweet, I wonder if it is possible to port it to GP32, odds are they'll be contacting Squige if it is

- It will support animated backgrounds
- It will support 16-bit, 44100 KHz stereo sound (MP3)
- It will support 4 players

You'll need to adapt the PAK files though, I seriously doubt the GP32 will be able to play a game, and run a high quality MP3 file at the same time. Also, animated backgrounds while seriously tax the GP32 to it's max, because all the sprites are software. Also the 4 player mode will probably not be feasable, seeing as very few people have the RF link. But other then that, it's probably possible :)

Why not make it so the programmer of the GP32 version puts in MOD playing insted of MP3 so that it doesn't tax as much and makes the PAK files take up less space? I think the Juggler or whoever is upgrading BOR should put in MOD support and people can add their own mod playlist insted of having giant PAK files.
