Guy.
I know mine goes to 200 Mhz out of the box. How do I check for 220? The clock tester doesn't have it
Do the OC modmine's only 80% stable at 140
Hmm. My GP32 only overclocked to 22Mhz for 5 mins then froze! Oh well, at least I can go over 200!
1st, I remeber seeing the max speed for this CPU is 260mhzSadako posted on Jul 21 2004 at 11:15 AM said:You'll never guess what, yours might of came out of the box 220, but mine came out of the box 420, and it can play every single SNES game at perfect speed with sound, and inside there is a card reader that reads 1gb cards, and plays movies at 800x600 resolution. I got Tomb Raider running on my GP32 recently since the RAM out of the box was 1gb, it was totally amazing.
I think its to do with the resistors they put in at the factory.. maybe they were Cheap resistors that had dodgy ratingskknd_cf posted on Jul 21 2004 at 11:21 AM said:LOLSadako posted on Jul 21 2004 at 11:15 AM said:You'll never guess what, yours might of came out of the box 220, but mine came out of the box 420, and it can play every single SNES game at perfect speed with sound, and inside there is a card reader that reads 1gb cards, and plays movies at 800x600 resolution. Anyway why is it this happens? Why are some different to others it's strange.
it has nothing to do with either of those things, its purely luck. gamepark need it to work at 133MHz, the cpu is designed to be clocked up to 166MHz (roughly) Any extra is a bonus and beyond the circuit design.Steve-O posted on Jul 21 2004 at 08:17 PM said:I think its to do with the resistors they put in at the factory.. maybe they were Cheap resistors that had dodgy ratingskknd_cf posted on Jul 21 2004 at 11:21 AM said:LOLSadako posted on Jul 21 2004 at 11:15 AM said:You'll never guess what, yours might of came out of the box 220, but mine came out of the box 420, and it can play every single SNES game at perfect speed with sound, and inside there is a card reader that reads 1gb cards, and plays movies at 800x600 resolution.
