200mhz Blu?

the reason that some programs don't speed up over 166MHz is because the clock speed is being set incorrectly. The clock generator in the CPU is capable of running it at over 300MHz, although it would never actually work at those frequencies

RAM is not the problem. The CPU is the problem.

The reason some GP32s overclock better than others is simply natural variation between components. Electronic components are not identical, nothing is identical unless you're talking at the quantum level

Hmmm, I can understand that with programs like SNES9xGP where it needs to be hacked to work at above 133MHz, but what about OpenSNES9xGP?

OK, now we need some testing. Can anyone overclock higher with my overclocking tester then they can overclock on OpenSNES9xGP? Although another reason why that is possible may be because a program which displays a whole buffer of colour would draw more power then a black and white program with a little bit of text on the screen. If you look at the internals of my tester, all it does is do some slow memory operations and arithmatic.

This is probably long gone, but my GP32 BLU runs to 168 Mhz on the tester before crashing.

However, it will not run OpenSNES9xGP any higher than 160 Mhz before crashing. 166 won't even get past the "Nintendo" screen on Mario World. I played it at 160 for about 10 min with no problems.

Interesting, very interesting. You're the first person I know of who has a speed-up at 200MHz. Do you have the voltage mod on your GP32, or any other mods? Since mine has no speed-up after 166MHz, yet nor does it crash after 166MHz either.

By the way, while I can see the pictures, I have no idea what anyone is saying in those threads :D
I just got a blu and it clocks 200mhz it never crashed yet. MY FLU could go up to 166mhz but it crashes every now and then :(
