    Foreign Underground Scenes?

Heh, I realize that the conversation has sort of drifted another way. But just FYI, GPnese was made in the USA. :)

    Japanese On Gp

Hi Bastiman, I wrote a Japanese -> English dictionary for GP32 a while back called GPnese which included several container classes for displaying and scolling Japanese text encoded in EUC. Depending on how much time I have this weekend and whether my build enviornment is still in tact, I'll...

    Gpnese Source

Sorry about the comments - I hadn't planned to release it in this state originally :P Even in college, I would always write the assignment program to completion, then go back and make up comments to make the instructors happy. ^_^ As for the Japanese fonts, there is the one in standins...

    Gpnese Source

Hi Don, this one uses EUC-JP encoding. I know Shift-JIS is more common by far, but EUC is much easier to work with. Most of the algorithms for dealing with the fonts and encoding came from a book called 'CJKV Information Processing' that you might be interested in. Kind of embarassing for a...

    Gpnese Source

Mentioned this in the Ideas Board already, but some other people might be interested (who knows?) - I posted sources to GPnese - the Japanese/English dictionary today. Might actually be helpful for people looking to develop Japanese enabled applications on GP32. Download at...

    Jwpce Port

Hi All, Yes, I did promise Ksmiler to release the source code. Sorry for the delay - I just tossed it together now - here it is: http://www.makenai.net/projects/gpnese/gpnese-src.zip Good luck with the flashcard program. It's something I would do myself if I had a little bit more time and...

    king's quest

Sierra games use AGI - try Sarien. There is a port to GP32: http://207.44.176.77/~admin28/gp32emu/sarien.htm

    TROGDOOOOOOOOOOOR!!!

I emailed the creators several times asking for permission to do a remake of trogdor the burninator for the GBAX 15 days compo way back when.. never got a response from them. Not sure it would be right to do without the artists' permission, but maybe you guys can deluge them with emails so at...

    Moria port for the GP32!

Doh! Page appears to be down now.. don't tease me like that! :) I've been waiting for a roguelike on GP32 forever.. hopefully it pops up again soon.

    N-Gage: cracked!

Well, as far as I know, most (if not all?) N-Gage games are just based on the Series 60 platform under SymbianOS. There should be emulators for that already, for developmental use.. probably the only thing keeping them from working before was the copy protection which seems to have been...

    N-Gage: cracked!

Just for the record, at least Sonic-N and Puyo Pop work great on the Nokia 3650. :)

    Rlyeh Needs Your Help

I'm not sure of the specific differences in gameplay, but I think those PC10 titles are almost exactly the same as the NES versions + time limiter. In any case, I'd guess they'd probably be better served if Rlyeh added PC10 support to fNES (well, if they are worth supporting). Quite a few NES...

    Rlyeh Needs Your Help

Here's a list of games I'd personally like to see, even if it is a bit long: I left off more than a couple shooters that I thought had great PC Engine ports.. it really would be good to get some of the vector games like Star Wars or Tempest working, though not sure how realistic it is. Quite a...

    fMAME32 0.74 WIP Video!

GnG? Aww.. I wanted to see Pooyan! Love that game. In any case, it's looking great - can't wait for it! Any chance of getting a button panel emulator to get some of mahjong games working on it? :)

    scummvm problem

Which version of ScummVM are you using? There is scummvm.fxe and sc132mhz.fxe which is the slower and more stable version. My GP is not overclockable, and it locks up almost exactly like you describe. However, if I run sc132mhz.fxe, it works fine.

    Ultima Exult

Many of us here have been asking for it for a long time. :) Now with SDL for the GP32 appearing and making leaps and bounds, it is one step closer to reality. Though to be honest, it is still a hell alot of code, and not sure about the memory requirements (though it is now running on Zaurus)...
