    WTB: 1GHz Pandora $300

I have one that I'd be willing to sell, I got it from the last batch that were created a little while back now. It's seen barely any use. Nubs and all of the controls still work fine. No issues with the screen and there are almost no blemishes on the case paint. I've never even had to crack open...

Wow... Just wow. You know what? I really don't care anymore. Use wikipedia, don't use wikipedia, whatever. I try to make a simple point that any 2nd year engineering student (that had physics II or an EE intro course) could understand and I inadvertently cause a row over the validity of...

That's when the port is acting as the source of the current, not the recipient. And its not just... never-mind, forget I said anything at all. +o(

First of all, please don't quote wikipedia as a valid source. You're correct. There are few more factors to take into account, according to the whitepapers I found here and an example implementation I found here and here. But here's where we probably disagree. In essence it is still a fairly...

xD:'( HAHAHAHAHA! Oh how I wish this were true! Current is defined as dq/dt (instantaneous). It is the rate of change of charge (in Coulombs) over time. If devices could "pull" electrons on their own we probably wouldn't need a means of creating voltage and current in the first place. Lets use...

It's clear that you didn't quite understand what I was saying. What USB revision I was talking about doesn't matter in the slightest. What I was saying applies to all electric circuits (at least that I know of). I made it simple and didn't account for capacitance and inductance or the rest of...

Wow. I'm surprised that the equivalent resistance for the charging circuit is so low that a 1 Ohm cable can lower the voltage so much. Since for a simple voltage divider circuit Vx = (Rx/Req)*Vs, 4.4v=(Rx/(1+Rx))5.0V (Assuming the resistance in your usb cable is 1 ohm.) This places your...

You joke, but if you define your forth dimension as temperature instead of time, some materials do have possibilities.

It's always good to have a bit of a buffer for any unforeseen problems and extra costs. The first will be the most expensive batch by far. (Until we get that cpu board with the AMD x86 SoC, 512gb single chip ssd, and 8gb ram. o_O) None of us are in any real hurry anyway afaik.

    Final small Pandora batch...

You could just solder some leads to just about any 3.7 volt battery and clip it to the pandora with the right polarity right? What about just clipping a capacitor+resistor across the leads to fool the device into thinking there's a battery present?

    Release Wing Commander Saga

Thanks! I was just curious. It'd probably be better to wait for the final release of 3.7.4 before doing a port anyway. I had no problems building either in Ubuntu MATE but I've never messed with Angstrom before, much less any optimizations. I'll have to look into it after I get mine in. I can't...

    Release Wing Commander Saga

This is awesome. I picked up a Pandora to play the early WC games on the go but I didn't think this was possible. Thanks ptitSeb! Do you accept donations? Question: Has there been any effort to port FSOpen or the wxLauncher?

    Final small Pandora batch...

Same here. I was at Camp Geiger then at 29 Palms when the pandora was initially taking orders so it'll be nice to finally get one.

I'm going to airbrush and stencil mine, so it really doesn't matter what color they come in. As a side note, people have been talking about kickstarter and indiegogo, but what about massdrop? That's a ready built enthusiast community that should fit right in line, I figure.

    Grips?

I guess the case could be powder coated, and the antenna could be de-soldered from the board, and ran up into the lid... In any case it's something to think about. It all depends on how satisfied with the molded case.

    Grips?

I could probably set up an aluminum case but it would be expensive and there would be many a conductance issue (as in the entire case would be one huge conductor). On top of that would be wireless reception. Placing any wireless antenna in what is essentially a faraday cage really doesn't work...

    Grips?

Probably polycarbonate, the same thing the rest of the case will be made of. It's quite possible, I've seen it done before with a low rpm spindle. About 50 rpm if I remember right. Either that or PET-P Edit: Way off, it was 45 ipm @ 10k rpm. I knew that was way off after I wrote it.
