I use the Google Chrome browser now and before it went down it was warning me that malware was detected on gp2x.com. Now the site is down and if you click to look at it on Google's cache it'll tell you there's malware detected on it. Maybe there really was some malware and they took it down to...
Hi all, I have the GP32 and GP2X-F100 and I gotta say that having a smaller device that really is about twice as powerful really appeals to me and makes me think of how I can sell my GP2X to help justify the cost of getting the Wiz. Sure the button thing is a little whacky, but even if they...
No big deal on the delay. In my mind, I'm hoping it'll be out before the end of the year. It sure would make a nice Xmas present if it is released around that timeframe. If it's sooner, then that's fantastic.
Besides, we have to get a little more use out of our GP2Xes before Pandora comes...
I think the source code for Handy (Lynx emu) was GPL'ed only after the developer had done what he wanted with the emu and was ready to move on. This really worked out well because as we all know, Tuskenraider was able to pick it up and port it to GP32 and then GP2X. Maybe some time from now...
I, for one, don't take it for granted. I think the work you do on emulators is pure magic and I am amazed whenever I load up a ROM in an emulator and can play a game on hardware which the ROM itself was never designed for. I still cannot believe how well the GBA emu runs things on my GP2X!!!
Ah neat! That was the one game I wanted to try again with the new version. I downloaded it and then I couldn't find my copy of the pocketiso program and the download links were broken so that's as far as I got. I know I have a copy of it on my server somewhere, so I'll make the iso again and...
When I read Craig's request for videos I immediately thought of your videos Amiga2000 because I liked the extra production you put into them and the fact that you used the tv out to capture them instead of just trying to point the camera at the screen.
btw, I am a huge Amiga fan too and I have...
Thanks for the new player! I was probably one of the more vocal critics of the gp2x built-in music player. I listen to podcasts and had to remember where I left off and then they slowed down the seek function in later firmwares. I waited for some alternative for months and months and then I...
After updating from 2.0.0 to 2.1.1 the boot splash screen reads "2.1.1", but if I go to the settings info from the menu it says 2.0.0 still -is this normal?
Just wanted to say that since the PSP went down in price $30, I was pondering the idea of getting one strictly for homebrew, but after reading your review I see that I'm in good hands with my gp2x and I probably shouldn't bother with a PSP unless I just HAVE to get a fast PSX emu (which may also...
Personally, I'm sticking with 2.0.0 for now. If you listen to books on tape or podcasts with the music player then anything higher than 2.0.0 will not let you fast forward through the mp3 very fast which is a pain. if this doesn't apply to you then nevermind. Does anyone know if I could keep...
I wanted to say thanks Zodttd! Absolutely fantastic job on this emu! It passed the acid test as I handed WarioWare to my wife and she played a few games. If I had tried this with the versions before your dynarec I'm sure she would have told me no thanks. We have a Wii with Wario Smooth Moves...
Is anyone going to tell him the gp2x doesn't play .mp4 videos natively or am I missing something? I convert my mp4 podcasts to avi using "SUPER" as it's free and has one easy interface. I could upload the settings file I use for my gp2x if anyone is interested...
I have some Sony earbuds and I was going to also say people should look into getting something with a volume control as well. We all know how the volume can change from one app to another on the gp2x (yes, I have the limiter on and I use gpmenu2x to set a global default of 50%). I set my...
If you haven't tried Dr.PocketSNES and gpSP for SNES and GameBoy Advance emulation I'd say give GP2X a chance there. gpSP will have dynamic recompilation in the near future which may improve its speed quite a bit! Reesy worked some real magic putting together the GP2X port of PocketSNES!
That's funny, I missed it on the config list completely too. I had worked up a post where I said I was reading the Super Metroid manual and based on that and how the SNES buttons are laid out on the real controller they didn't match up in the same layout on the gp2x -then I discovered the menu...
I have another question about savestates. I have fw2.0.0 and I was playing Super Metroid and I saved a state in slot 0 and then came back and loaded it up later without a problem. I then tried to save to slot 1 and when I went back to load it up it wasn't there. I then tried to overwrite slot...
