Yeah if you plug in the incorrect adapter you will fry the power chip, but it should still run on batteries. If you can try to find a set of energizer photo lithium AA batteries. They are 1.5 volts and have a ton of juice. If they power up with that then yes you need to replace the power chip...
I saw the video and the nub seems to move just like the pandora's. He even calls it a "slider" after he plays with if for a second because of the way it moves.
I totally agree. Something of this scale normally has a much larger team. With the resources OpenPandora had they have done amazingly well. I imagine they are all very proficient in their respective fields otherwise this project would have died a long time ago. I really do hope that the...
Isn't trickle charging bad for the battery? From what I have read trickle charging will damage the pack causing the cells to swell and break. I'm guessing there is something different going on here than traditional trickle charging if TI designed it to charge that way.
solder wick and liquid flux. Put some flux down get some solder on the iron and apply to the opposite side of the wick. If you cant get it off with that try a heat gun and tweezers
Linux came out before hurd was finished I believe. When they finally released it linux was the os filling that the niche and not many people used hurd.
ah I see what you are saying. I skipped that part. So their whole ics protocol is some special thing that only works on some devices that use it, and they still have the legacy software for backwards compatibility.
@gruso
was this with a windows mobile 6.5 phone? I don't think they use that anymore link
With newer windows mobile it seems that you add the device as a bluetooth modem and you do not have to do any dialing anymore. (this is all from reading I have no experience except tethering through usb)
well you did say ti. ti does some great stuff but they do some weird stuff too. I mean the documentation is some times unreadable and have you ever used an msp430? One of their staple products because of power consumption is one of the buggiest hard to use micros I have ever touched. I know...
Craig said that it doesn't give off much more heat on an overclock. The only way you are going to fry it is if you get past its operating temperature specified by TI. Really the only way you are going to fry it is if you try to bump up the voltage to the core so it will run more stable at...
check all the connections make sure there are no breaks.... I don't know exactly what you did so I cannot help you much more. Also don't just make sure its connected make sure its connected right.
Comparing the 2 processors is a very hard task to do. Due to the difference in architecture even if you try to run the same code on both and compare the results it is still not a perfect test. They do not have the same instruction set which will make the code be run different on each machine...
I think they all have dates above the rev number its just that the red and blue ones are the month spelled out where the green one has the month number.
I don't know if thats the final version but the green one(bottom right) is the newest. The top is V1.0, the bottom left is V1.1, and the bottom right is V1.2 I believe. It's too bad the pictures were not higher res so we could see what they have taken out and added in. The top board has an...
