To be honest this is one of the main reasons why I want my Pandora :D Something similar to powder toy on the go would be awesome.
Thanks for making this. It is much appreciated.
In other words when you buy a Sony console you don't really own it, you're just buying a share of it. Sony still controls some of your purchase and what you do with it.
When you buy a Pandora the whole damn thing is yours to do with what you please.
The Pandora is a very niche device which is why it has a very niche price. While the internal hardware may be somewhat dated (although certainly still powerful enough for a surprising amount of uses) there really is no other device like it. Sure there are netbooks which rival it for web browsing...
Really? Why doesn't someone do something about it? The wiki isn't exactly Pandora friendly and the app store really succeeds at this. Wouldn't there be a way to feed all new wiki releases to the app store?
Nice review. I think the audio production capabilities of the Pandora haven't really been explored enough. I would love to be able to plug in a MIDI pad/keyboard controller and use it as a portable softsynth.
Craig said all of batch one would be done by the end of March... I find that hard to believe given that people who ordered late 2008 are only just getting theirs shipping notifications now, but will be very impressed if they achieve it.
Ah I was waiting for a review like this. What headphones were you using for these impressions? I wonder if it will do my HF2's justice... Also, does it have a line out for use with an external amplifier?
If this delays my Pandora I'll probably be pretty mad and I'll probably post a few rants but damnit I'm just too emotionally attached to this whole thing to ever cancel.
But that doesn't mean people will want it. I mean there are far more powerful devices available for similar prices and I don't think there's much demand for a somewhat dated, bulky console/computer with a small (by todays standards)resistive screen. I mean I know there's nothing else like it...
So the other option is to sell them all at the normal price and finish at the end of batch 2? Hm.
How much demand is there for Pandora's? I would expect the Pandora is becoming increasingly less desirable, what with all these new tablets and gaming consoles and ever more powerful netbooks...
I have nothing wrong with advertisements. It's usually pretty easy to tell which ones are lying/being misleading and a lot of the time they can be helpful and informative. Plus they're not THAT difficult to ignore. It's a small price to pay for free services.
