    Final preorders, action required

For me, that didn't work either. The link has been abbreviated in the text so there is a bit in the middle that has been replaced with "...". What I did get to work was clicking on the link, them pasting the last bit (the email address) into the address bar on the end.

    Final preorders, action required

PM received and survey completed! No idea why my email address didn't work but I've entered an alternate one on the form. Thank Craig.

    Pandora 2 probability debate

Craig, have you gone through the LOST EMAIL PMs? I sent you one on the 11th and I've not had a response yet (email or PM). Has anyone else had a response to a LOST EMAIL PM yet?

Release SuperZaxxon - Beta 3 released

Hadn't thought of that. Now done. Edit: The full change log is too long for the repo but you can read it here.

Release SuperZaxxon - Beta 3 released

To clarify: 1.6 has the mmc_core.removable=0 change, 1.6.1 has that AND has the console parameter change that notaz asked for. Not sure. You'll need to copy the new kernel from /lib/boot over to the BOOT partition. There may be other changes that could cause problems. I'd take a backup of the...

Release SuperZaxxon - Beta 3 released

I've done the changes to the SD installer so it works with the new kernel. Download from pandorabits.org or the repo. notaz: I've only just seen your comment about the console parameter, so that change is not in there yet.

Release SuperZaxxon - Beta 3 released

Got it, thanks. I can change the SD installer to use the kernel under /lib/boot, if there is one, instead of the one under /boot. Is this what people want? On the other hand, if 3.2 is supposed to be the default, shouldn't they be the other way around?

Release SuperZaxxon - Beta 3 released

The archive used for the SD installer contains the 2.6 kernel image, the 3.2 kernel image is missing.

Release SuperZaxxon - Beta 3 released

The file /proc/pandora/game_button_mode seems to be missing. Anyone know if this intentional or a bug? I tried a few searches but couldn't find anything. Edit: This only happens with the 3.2 kernel.

sd_installer.pnd (install OS on SD card) - problems!

That's what I use. Also, it seems that the larger capacity cards have the most problems.

sd_installer.pnd (install OS on SD card) - problems!

This happens when there is a write error when copying files to the card. Linux remounts the card read only so further write operations fail. Write errors are usually caused by faulty or incompatible SD cards. This is because the installation did not complete (see above). The kernel is on the...

Pandora at Replay 2011 - Retro Gaming Expo - Let's meet up

And that's me helping ED look for it. :) It was eventually found by Ian J's eagle-eyed missus, Jane. I see I wasn't the only one to notice that then.

I'm here, ED and his table are in the entrance hall if anyone is looking for him. Plenty of interest in the Pandora.

Release Zaxxon Hotfix 6 - Beta 1 released!

You are correct: the kernel used by the SD installer is extracted from .tar.gz file. You should not need a separate kernel file.
