    Gp2x Tshirts

Interestingly enough , I run a website selling- amongst other things - mugs and am planning to get my own range printed up at somepoint later this year. Anyone else like the sound of a GPX2 mug?

    Which Batteries For Gp2x

I got a pack of 2600mAh Ansmanns on the recommendations of others on this forum : never actually timed them , but they seem to last for ages. I've heard they now go up to 2700mAh , don't know how much longer this gives ( anyone? ) , but if you're after batteries to feed the GPX2 , these are ...

50,000 Sales Mark For 06, What About 07?

There's not much left for a GP3X to emulate , is there? After N64 / PS1 / Saturn , games start getting very big. One of the - many - joys of the GPX2 is that you don;t have to mess about carrying loads of games with you : it all fits onto a single SD card. Plus while downloading Megadrive...

    Glbasic For The Gp2x!

C with the SDL headers is all you need. SDL takes care of all the tricky stuff ( drawing graphics / playing sounds / button input ) , leaving you with just - if you'll forgive the expression - the basic stuff. C with SDL isn't massively different to BASIC ( I moved up to it from Blitz Basic with...

Heh. The homebrew's seen : to be believed Erm . . . so you're saying that . . . second thoughts , never mind. Sounds painful

    Changing Clock Speed

Ah , no , this isn't scripting. I need to know how to change the clock speed programmatically for a game I'm working on. Still , nice idea : thanks anyway.

    Changing Clock Speed

Hey Been trying to figure out how to change the clock speed for the GP2X , but even when I directly copy and paste the code from online tutorials / Squidges' function in 'PocketSnes' ( thanks , by the way , I'm still very new at this , but there's some very interesting looking code in there I'm...

    Picodrive 1.10

Wow , just . . . wow. Sonic CD runs at 60 FPS in '8 bit fast render' mode - and to be fair , I can't see any difference between that and the 16 bit accurate render mode. Noticed it locks up if I press the right shoulder button. Think it's time I got myself a bigger SD card , these games...

Cps2emu Test Version 6 And Capex Beta 2 Released

Yep , here too. However , still an utterly beautiful emulator : runs all the games I've tested on it so far perfectly :)

    Built-in Charger?!

. . . so don't bother? Two batteries in the GP2X , and two in your pocket - as long as you're using decent ones - is all I've ever needed before. Got to agree though , four batteries in it would have been better

    Heretic2x Released

Great port : Heretic was one of the first games I got when I first got a PC. However for some reason , the 'fire' and 'straft' buttons do not do anything. This makes the game rather tricky.

    Image Transparency In Sdl

Dr_Ian : You've cracked it , thanks :) Running beautifully now , so fast I think I'll need to artificially slow it down :) woogal : Will try your idea about hw libs next time I've got a minute. Thanks all

    Image Transparency In Sdl

    > are you using hw acceleration libs? No , did play around with it , but the screen went all flickery. Might try switching from .bmp's to .png's with transparency built in , see if that helps

    Image Transparency In Sdl

Hey Have been experimenting with the following for image transparency SDL_SetColorKey(screen, SDL_SRCCOLORKEY, SDL_MapRGB( screen->format, 0x00, 0x00, 0xff )); However , it really slows things down. Any quicker way of doing image transparency with SDL? It also doesn't seem to work quite...

    Passing Linked Lists Into Functions

Hey I've set up some linked lists in a program i'm working on , but am having problems using functions with them. The linked lists work fine as long as they stay in the main function : so they're not at fault struct node { int x; int y; node *next; }; is the linked list...

Moving An Image Around With Sdl

The following code will move an image around the screen , but , for some reason , the movement is quite jerky : often I'll push the stick all the way down , but the image wil not move : so I have to move it away , and back again before it'll register. I've checked the GPX2 with some other...
