This is a serious matter and Justin should be addressing his customers about this head on as it could put his Kickstarter funding at risks since there is no obligation for Kickstarter supporters to pay up. Removing the link won't stop it from spreading over the internet and hiding the matter...
qbertaddict's videos were made for purpose of promoting the power and emulation capabilities of the GCW0. Many were specifically made at the request of customers. His videos are responsible for contributing to selling out the GCW0 SE Edition units and have continued to peak the anticipation of...
I have to say qbertaddict, your commitment to the GCW0 project is phenomenal. Your always available to help and you've kept the project's momentum strong from the start. I hope Justin will reward for your hard work in the future.
I'm must say I'm surprised ED you didn't receive a prototype. You have the means and the distribution to create some huge hype for the unit via your shop and your boards. If only Justin would show the same level of commitment to his GCW0 that you do with Pandora and your customers.
There is...
If the GCW Kickstarter is unsuccessful the project will dry up since Justin has been unable to reactivate his Paypal account. There has been no definite word on the remaining units so there could be even less then 300 available if Kickstarter fails.
I think two weeks after the start of January will be most likely. Anticipation will be high after the arrival of first 30+ units. Since there is no definite date on the remaining units the videos and reviews from first batch may be all there is for some time.
If gcw is short on funds then he needs to start Kickstarter right away. He will always need emergency funds on hand for delays and other unexpected costs.
Are you sure this isn't going live sooner. Seems like too much of a big mad rush to get it done for a February release. Also the estimated shipping dates are stated for January.
There is another solution Craig. Get a part time job. An additional income will allow you to pay off you debt to ED. You did say you were considering one if your KickStarter iCP2 failed.
Well yes and no. OPT did ask CC to halt production for a time while they dealt with faulty nubs and cables. When production did resume it was shortly becoming clear that CC could or would not fulfill their promised quota. The OPT talked about searching out another manufacturer but nothing ever...
What's odd is Craig bans the member for being skeptical of his story and then request someone else to lock the thread. Still Craig announcing on this board that he "accidentally" found a security risk while purposely attempting to access another's bank account does have some ground for cynicism.
If your able to deliver all 150 preorder units to your customers by the end of December it probably won't be necessary at all. All your customers will be more than satisfied enough that I doubt any of them will call you up on your generous offer of apology but then the glasses are kinda cool so...
It's a nice gesture on the part of gcw but worldwide shipping of 150 individual glasses isn't cheap. I'm sure he'll offer the glass free but whoever wants it will have to pay the shipping.
If you plan to sell it then it only makes sense for you to add to your file archive. It would be a lot easier for you to direct your customers to your archive then searching the web for the what they need.
I remember seeing a show a year or two ago about smart criminals and that "Crazy Eddies" guy was featured. He only got caught because his family turned on each other.
