This is how a pandora 2 should look (and perform, possibly)

There's no way to mouse without connecting an external one, which requires a table... how they think they can market that as a PC gaming device is beyond me. But onto the topic... Absolutely not. That's a shitty Intel Atom with shitty integrated graphics. It's also x86, and in that form factor...

Issue with left nub on brand new Pandora

This made me realize that it had been ~2 days since I had shut down my Pandora. Restarting the handheld made it go away.  However, right before restarting my left stick had started to show far worse signs. For example, moving the stick to the left made it move to the upper-righthand corner of...

Yet another of these: My ideas for a pandora 2

Disagree completely. Take the HP 620LX PocketPC. Yes, that monster on the left. I can fit this beast in my pocket. The Pandora is like a blessing in comparison, and I'd much rather have a thicker handheld if it meant the controls were better. If I can handle that massive thing I'm sure...

Why EXACTLY is GameCube emulation so "unachievable"?

Dolphin cannot be run on ARM based systems because the Dynarec is written for x86 and x64. The Gamecube doesn't have a particularly fast CPU, but the system is fairly complex from a coding standpoint. I'm not gonna bother looking up the details... I just know writing and perfecting a completely...

Issue with Line out, loose connection?

This. Plugs and sockets oxidize over time. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00006LVEU/ This stuff is a lifesaver. Spray it on your headphone's plug, put it in the jack, and twist it around a bit. See if that does the trick.

Issue with left nub on brand new Pandora

Well, now my right nub is running into an invisible wall. I can't reach the right side of the nub's range in the input tester.

the open pandora 2 must use an amd apu!

I'm not saying make the Pandora 2 exclusively Windows, or Linux, or Android, or anything. I'm saying use a x86 CPU so we can run whatever the hell we want on it. I'd use the same GNU/Linux that the Pandora 1 uses for most things and switch to Windows or Android for...

the open pandora 2 must use an amd apu!

I get that, my point is if we used a more standard architecture like x86 it'd open up a world off programs to the Pandora that weren't available previously. PCSX2, Dolphin, Steam and all of its games, Minecraft, Photoshop... the list is endless. It'd also mean that we wouldn't have to screw...

the open pandora 2 must use an amd apu!

When I said "full" i was mainly referring to one written for a standard architecture-- like x86. The GNU/Linux that the Pandora runs isn't a fully-fledged OS in that sense. But I agree, Linux has far more to it than Windows.

Free Minecraft soon for Raspberry Pi!

Bump? I'd like to see someone take a crack at that pre-release. EDIT: Actually, the full release should be out sometime this month, so probably just wait for that...

the open pandora 2 must use an amd apu!

I would love to see this chip in the Pandora 2, AMD's APUs really are great chips. I'm using a Quad-Core A6 in my laptop and it works quite well, even with a 64-bit OS, and being able to run FULL operating systems like Windows on the Pandora would be absolutely amazing. The only problem is taking...

Pandora 2 should be a 5" Linux Tablet with no built in gaming controls, but... - With Hinge & Attach

This... No. Sorry, don't see how this would be a product that'd interest me. Tablets are stupid. They're glorified phones that don't fit in your pocket.

    Let's dream a little - Fantasy Features

Oooh that's something not so unreasonable, how about rumble motors? I love force feedback and I don't know of any handheld to date that has it.

Getting the Local Bluetooth Address of the Pandora?

I'm trying to sync a PS3 controller to it and that requires me to set the Bluetooth address manually. The PS3 controller uses a static address that has to be overridden manually using a tool in order to be synced to other devices. I'm not familiar with Linux, is there a terminal command I can use?

My views on the Pandora 2's specifications

I don't know about ESS's lower end DACs but I do know they created the best DAC chip in the world. I don't know about their lower end parts which is why I didn't list them. I didn't choose the ES9018 because of specifications, I chose it because its a chip I know sounds good. I don't know about...

My views on the Pandora 2's specifications

I didn't specify which ARM core because I don't know what SoC's are available. After a little research the OMAP5430 looks about close to what I was thinking.  The 8 channels are optional. Most DACs support 4+ channels. The performance difference is VERY noticeable, any audiophile will attest to...
