Post count's just make people big headed. I usualy turn them off on my forums. it only shows how much someone will post silly little responses to posts. now people won't post unless they can help instead of the I dunno replys or ask someone else.
I would say that is a bad idea blocking people who have less than 50 posts from joining. I have a low post count but have been here long enough to have been able to post a lot. it will be usless stopping people post as someone who carn't read a post might be able to help. the best thing to do is...
Give him time to get it working. they are ment to work in this release but there are bugs in it that could cause permanent damage to your gp32. The source code is messed up at the moment with loads of hacks just to get the game that work now to work. be patient with him
The basic list of games that work are
monkey 1 & 2
sam n max
day of the tenticle
indiana jones and the fate of atlantis
loom
indy 3
maniac mansion
The best way of saying it is all offical lucasarts point and click games up till monkey 3
I was testin sam and max a littlebit more today and i found it runs fine apart from it pauses for a cupple of seconds between voices to load. why not make it pre load voices to a certain degree so it doesn't
I Just thought i'd mention that a port for the Sony Ericsson P800 has been made http://dreo.org/p800/escummvm/ by the looks the sound works fine on it. there is also source code that could come in useful as i think the gp32 is more powerfull than this phone.
Heres a sound bug in Indiana Jones and the fate of atlantis. i encoded the .sou file like it says in the readme file and when i played it the voices are too fast and high pitched. I think it has something to do with the sound frequencey. the version of scummvm for gp uses the sound frequency...
no games have crashed on me. DOTT works fine just i didn't get sound cause i had it converted onto mp3 not ogg. doing that tonight but it works. the 156mhz is fine too i carn't gett 166mhz to work though (my gp) maniac mansion goes fastboth the normal and enhanced version. looked throught soucre...
Be patent the guy is working hard at getting it up and running before he releases it. It's taking time to do as he's only one man and has another life to lead.
gpScumm Is Getting Updated At the moment to include speech in a compressed format (mp3 or ogg) and the music aswell as all the new games that are being released at the moment. the only problem is getting the sound (mp3 or ogg) music(midi, mp3, ogg) and the game itself to run on the gp32. he is...
i connect my gp32 to my pc as usual start the program. i have the gp32 in link mode ( the offical one) but my gp32 comes up with a communication error if i try to do anything to the gp32 even look at what's on it does anyone know how to fix it?
EDIT: sorry its a process error. i've tried...
no i'm not warezing. I spent ages sorting stuff out before my gp32 came so i could play what i wanted. I Put what i wanted in smc aswell so i could check they work now i lost the files on there own.
It's to do with the file name length. which version are you using? there are two ways around this problem
1 get a different version of monkey 1
2. hex edit and shorten the save file name to 8 characters
a cupple of days ago my brother wiped all my gp32 stuff but a few .smc files containing different things in them. i've looked at it from geepee32 and i would like to get them files out of the .smc file is there any way how to?
i've been building a full wad for doom and what i use is doombuilder. it's quite good for a basic wad builder. it cannot put new pics sounds in or edit info like the gun speeds and stuff. i got it from http://www.xodemultimedia.com/. what do people use for testing on the pc?
i'll post my wad...
