Only if the acrylic piece had grooves cut in it that catch the light and force it downward. Otherwise the light doesn't shine down on the screen . It 's hard to explain , but it just doesn't work without the grooves.
The lightguide is just the pieceof plastic in the Flu covering the LCD.
All light guides are basically the same. Like the one on the Afterburner kit for the GBA.
It's a piece of plastic with grooves in it. Even if I took a pic of it , it would look just like a piece of plastic.
A backlight WON'T work.
The GP32 display is a reflective display and the only way to light it is a Front-light.
And you have to use a lightguide to reflect the light across the entire screen. The light guide is a piece of plastic with grooves cut in it at angles to catch the light and reflct...
Like I just said. Maybe a reading comprehension problem ?
My original statement
Notice how I clarified my statement..... Well maybe you didn't notice since you've harped on it so much.
Also I have taken the "stupid yellow plastic" off. In fact I've had GP32's since they first...
There you go with your "typing stupid nonsense" again.
Never once did I say a thing about the Zodiac other than it has a nice screen.
Maybe a reading comprehension problem that developed early in childhood.
A Z fanboy...... HAHAHAHAHA .... I could care less about the Zodiac.
But it...
Well perhaps because of my medication induced stupor, I never thought of that.
If only I had another Blu to test the theory.
Anyone want to donate to my cause. :P
Once again I will have to laugh at the ignorance of people.
Since when is posting an opinion on the brightness and quality of a screen being a baby ?
I have only stated a fact. It's darker and not as good a quality as the Zodiac. And in fact it's not even as bright as the DS.
If you love...
I can't believe that you say you had a Zodiac and you didn't notice a HUGE difference between it and the BLU.
Did you have them both at the same time where you could do a side by side comparison ?
The Zodiac is a LOT brighter which makes the blacks blacker and gives it a lot more contrast...
Why don't you stop your stupid nonsense typing and do a search then .
I've seen 4-5 threads with people saying that DrMD and others are to dark on the BLU .
And I'm not bitching , since when is stating an opinion bitching.
Grow up Dave
I was talking about the size of the 2 screens .
The Tapwave screen is a LOT brighter and more detailed. The Blu's screen is nice, much nicer than the FLU , but they still didn't get the brightness right. It needs to be a lot brighter. Why else does everyone complain that the emulators...
Oh man you're a funny one.
And your name is very fitting.
If anyone says that the GBA screen is fine and a larger , brighter , more detailed screen isn't necessary , then I have one word for them.
FANBOY !!!
Uhhh yea right.
I don't play any GBA games anymore because the screen is so small and it's hard to see text and details.
I use my GP32 and Zodiac the most and even then I wish the screen was bigger.
Bigger = More detail + Easier on the eyes = More Fun !!!
