    Easy Overclocking

I've found that different programs will run stable at different speeds. Mostly I've tested this with MAME, DrMD, 3DRoter (3d tunnel test), and Atari 800 emulator. I can confirm that Alkalines (Energizer/Duracell) do provide a more stable consistent output, but I prefer to use NiMH for obvious...

    Easy Overclocking

Most likely that you have some residue on the sides of the resistor that have not been completely removed. Try using a small thin peice of an eraser to clean the resistors around the sides, tops, etc. and start again. Alsomake absolutely sure that you have not mistakenly put graphite on some...

    Foreign Underground Scenes?

I guess "Foreign" is the wrong word to use since the GP32 originates in Korea:) What I'm wondering is if there is a parallel Scene in Asia for the GP32. I know I've come across a few programs here and there (GPnese, Morning Coffee, Tarot Card Game). I am aware that there is a strong scene in...

    Easy Overclocking

Hi everyone! Just checking in to see how things are going. I'm glad that this post is getting so much discussion, both Pro and Con. After all, that is what a fourum is for, right? I'm exited that so many are finding and refining the techniques for this mod. Kudos to all the brave souls who...

    My Gp32 Stand

If you wan't a more sophisticated method of securing the GP in place (and make the stand smaller) you can take advantage of the 4 visible screw holes on the back and use small dowel rods to secure the unit. As an alternative, you could epoxy a small, thin, metal plate over the batery cover and...

    Easy Overclocking

Last night while trying to find what went wrong for Trooper, I modified my technique to include testing. I found that the ammount of graphite you put down determines the resistance. The more graphite the less resistance. Thick or thin doesn't really explain it as this resistor is tiny...

    Easy Overclocking

I'm glad to hear it Trooper! I actually did some further testing last night and I think I found out what caused your problem. It seems that the more graphite you rub on, the less the resistance, thus greater core voltage. When I put too much, say about 10 times back and forth over the...

    Easy Overclocking

Would it be wierd if the entire gp32 scene was wiped out overnight by such an idea? MY GOD!!! WHAT HAVE I DONE? :) This is the kind of excercise that separates hackers from boys. Can anyone test what the average resistance is for a 1mm line drawn in #2 pencil. Maybe we should try mechanical...

    Easy Overclocking

Oddly enough, the same thing happened to me when I first tried to overclock! Turns out it drained my batteries which were not fully charged :) I hope this is the case. Good luck.

If anyone can host the image, I've got one. Is there a way to upload one to the forum???

    Easy Overclocking

I think 224 is too high under any condition. The bottom line is that we are attempting something outside the limits of the design. As all the trekkies out there know, it is possible to modify the warp drive to outrun a Borg cube, but eventually your ship will blow up if "Q" doesn't save you :)

    Easy Overclocking

I'm using a GP32 BLU. I do intend on leaving it that way unless it becomes unstable. I have not checked that ohms yet. My multimeter needs a new battery. I might be a little pointless to measure since the amount of residue and the specific pencil would all vary the resistance somewhat. I...

    Easy Overclocking

As more information becomes available, I will consolidate the best peices here so that the most current information is readily available. Before I go on to explain this, I must state that I accept no responsibility for any damage that may occur to you or your GP32 as a result of trying the...

    GP32 Mrmriko Sdk Tutorial

(Originally I posted this as a reply to an old post, but Ithink it's better as its own topic) I'm about to do something incredible! I'm actually going to tell you how to set up a working development environment and actually give you step by step instructions! (Don't any one try and stop me...

GP32 Have No Idea On How To Start

I'm about to do something incredible! I'm actually going to tell you how to set up a working development environment and actually give you step by step instructions! (Don't any one try and stop me either, cuz I'll kick your ass) Can you tell that I've been frustrated by this same question...

Several Questions Of A Gp32 Newbie

Are you using the Slubman Firmware, or just the applications individually. If you have Slubman Firmawre on the GP32 and you are not going to the selection menu when you power up, PUSH THE SELECT BUTTON and turn off AUTO RUN. If you don't have the firmware installed, then that is the root of...

    Video Disk Emulation

I'm thinking of giving it a go myself. Hopefully I'll get enough free time tonight to pull together an SDK (seems to be the least documented excersize :() I'll have do look into using Divx or Xvid as the video format. Maybe at a lower resolution or lower frame rate? Dragon's Lair would be...

    Video Disk Emulation

It seems that the only real obstacle would be getting the viedeo files small enough to fit on a SMD. I believe the source is available at The Daphne site.

    Smashgp 0.4b

I've noticed that under certain conditions (4 players or 3 players) the characters get courrupted. Seems like memory is being overwritten.
