Oh, ffs.
I swear I tried this countless times yesterday and have been willing that little red light to appear..
I just swapped batteries, and put Battery B in to give it one more chance and the thing started charging.
I'll give it a few hours to see if it gets to 100%.
I'll post in a bit...
At the moment I can't do that. Battery B does not charge at all. The red light does not come on and the battery status stays at "Discharging"
My fully working Battery A is in the unit charging at the moment. I'll give Battery B another go in a bit.
Cheers.
Hi,
So when I bought my Pandora I ordered a spare battery. The unit arrived with a battery in it's case ready to go into the machine (Battery A) and my spare all bubble wrapped up (Battery B) .
I'd been running off battery A since I got the machine. It charged to 100%. The red light came...
Well I'm using the pnd from the repo.
I'm not sure there is an error in the pnd I'm using, as it runs fine from both the desktop and the menu, just not from Warlock Bar.
Cheers.
@BAFelton
You know, I could have sworn the other day when I booted this thing that there were some xfce options missing. I guess I just kept missing those Settings | Desktop | Loads of Other Options.
Cheers, that worked perfectly. Got both wbar and conky starting from boot now.
And for the...
Yes, I seem to recall having to download the Java pnd and install it.
I followed this thread:
http://boards.openpandora.org/index.php?/topic/9220-arduino-ide-pnd/
Cheers.
Hi mcobit.
Cheers for that but no joy I'm afraid.
Using: pnd_run /media/APPS/pandora/menu/arduino.pnd
In a terminal, executes OK.
In wbar you get a "There seems to be an unrecoverable error" message.
Using: pnd_run -1 /media/APPS/pandora/menu/arduino.pnd
In a terminal, fails to run...
hmmm.
This didn't work for me. I mounted the pnd, took the run script and amended as suggested and placed in the appdata dir.
Arduino still boots OK from the menu or the desktop, but it will not boot from wbar, neither using the pnd_run command or executing the amended run script in appdata...
Hi, and thanks for replying.
Yes I did read all of that thread before I posted.
Maybe I missed something but I don't think that it mentions how to make wbar open when the Pandora is booted.
Also my Arduino issue seems quite specific to that pnd. Other pnd's like Midori and vlc open just...
Hi,
I'm using Warlock Bar on my new Pandora, as I think the combination of that plus Conky works really well.
Just a couple of questions, how can I get it to start when I boot the unit. I have tried a couple of xfce tips but non work. I would like to use the same methodology to open conky on...
So when UPS does arrive, will they be bringing some units that will used to satisfy 'Classic' pre-orders ?
Does this mean that I will be seeing a Pandora this week ?
Mine is to upgrade an October 2nd 2008 Classic Pandora Pre-Order.
Not upgrading to a new-fangled 1Ghz unit and ordered from Craig.
Upgraded four months ago to expedite delivery apparently.
hmmm.
I'm glad your Pandoras are on their way, but I can't help wondering where my #96 Upgraded order is.
No mail for me, and yes I have checked the Spam folder.
Craig, care to shed some light on this please ?
hmmmm.
Are you a 'classic' pre-order ?
A pre-order who chose to 'upgrade' ?
Or a new order who is OK with a 256mb unit. (And if you are, how much did you pay?)
I think the answer to that question will direct the way the rest of this conversation goes.
Thank you ED !
That was all I need to know, so now I can go back to waiting (I'm not going to speak for other people).
I do have to wonder why Craig couldn't have said that weeks ago though, I guess I'll just put it down to his 'quirky' communication methods.
Craig may very well read these boards but lately he has been refusing to answer very direct questions about:
1) When will he receive more units from yourself.
2) Will any of these units be used to satisfy either 'classic' or 'upgraded' orders...
