    Lerp Development Thread

All's been quiet here recently, as I haven't had much of interest to post (I've mostly been spending what free time I can on adding more features to the engine so that I can eventually build the game I've been planning all this time) Anyway, here's a few vids: These first two have been posted...

    Programming With The Pandora

That's not true - c# (and other .net stuff) should compile pretty much out of the box using something like SharpDevelop and Mono, unless the .net code in question makes heavy use of importing win32 APIs, or uses 3rd party libraries that themselves rely on win32 stuff

    Pocketsurfer 2 Lite Portable

I imagine they count by the meg, and just equate that into hours of regular browsing. Although everything goes via their servers (you're not connected directly to the web, instead everything goes via their servers and gets compressed before it's sent to the device over GPRS), so maybe they...

    Developer Info

Here's a couple of links that should be useful http://mydedibox.fr/_stuff/pandora/ - has a script that will download and install the relevant compilers to let you build arm code from an x86 linux box http://github.com/Cpasjuste - CPasjuste's git hub - lots of useful example code there. As...

    Sharp Pc-Z1 Netwalker

Video: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=tDpzfcgQVtA[/media] Shows it's flash player - anyone know if this is an official Arm build of flash, or just one of the open source equivalents. Either way, it looks like it works, so I assume we should be able to "borrow" it for the Pandora ;)

    Disgo Net Browser 3000

This little device can be picked up for £99 from HMV or Play - it's a fairly average Arm based palmtop, but the big killer is that it uses WinCE 5. Anyone know if we can hack it apart and put Angstrom on it instead? http://www.mydisgo.info/archives/545...

    Handwriting Support?

There's also handwriting support in Opie, so it should be possible to hack that into a regular Angstrom build, with a bit of work

    Wiz Vs Windows Mobile

Well, just going off power (stats from wikipedia) * HTC Wizard has a 195mhz ARM based CPU and 64mb of RAM * HTC Kaiser has a 400mhz ARM based CPU and 128mb of RAM * Wiz has a 533mhz ARM based CPU and 64mb of RAM Obviously there are other factors to take into account, but it looks like it'll...

    Halo 1 Wiz?

I had the TV card for my Game gear - you could plug it into anything with a phono output (I tried playing Dreamcast games on it once - it worked, just!)

    Pandora Origanls

Although that creates a chicken/egg paradox, as I'll need a real unit to test it on before I'd be happy to release it! (FYI, I spent last weekend getting the ARM compiler working, and shifting over some of the OpenGL code to be GLES compatible, so most of the porting work's already done, but I'd...

    Pandora emulator?

The general consensus is that you don't need to - if you're making a game that just uses regular SDL, it should pretty much just compile and work on the Pandora. If you want to use OGL then make sure you're using OGL2 calls that exist in OGLES, and you shouldn't have many issues. Btw, these...
