    How to use emule??

Do the math. He's on a GP32 board, wanting to know how to use eMule. Gee, I wonder what he intends to use it for.

    Duke Nukem 3d..

Actually there is a port, it was made using SDL and runs fine and dandy on the Dreamcast. Anyone who says otherwise is simply ignorant.

    Looking for something

You want a PocketPC. The Dell Axim X5 is very powerful and cheap (285 bucks), but the X3 is coming out soon (closer to 300 or 400 bucks) and it has built in wifi (so you don't need to buy the card) Also, there are all sorts of 16 bit emulators for PocketPC, but they don't have nearly enough...

Thinking about buying a GP32...Is it worth it?

Yup, the games that are supposed to have vocals have them completely intact. Day of the Tentacle sounds and looks fantastic on GP32.

Thinking about buying a GP32...Is it worth it?

Here's the bottom line: -You will be amazed by the size and resolution of the screen as well as the quality of the graphics. -You will be disappointed by the movies. You're probably expecting them to look and run perfectly, just by dragging and dropping them onto the GP32. If you want...

Is the FLU model too expensive?

Uhhh....thanks for the "tip"....But pretty much everyone already knows about that site. It's been up for what, three years? You're not the first one to discover it in that time. :P

    Its almost here!

Why does everyone feel the need to make topics about how their GP32 is coming soon? I know you're excited, but did it really deserve it's own topic? Especially when there are so many similar topics? Perhaps they should add another sticky at the topic where people can put posts like this.

    Dear Deardrie

You know, if you'd put down your GP32 for a little while, I think you'll find that your girlfriend has got some things that will fill your hands just as effectively, and that are alot more fun than your GP32. :D

Possible uses for the Yeti 3D engine

Now that's a good idea! With an isometric viewing angle the engine wouldn't have to draw very far, and the players could be either MD2 models or sprites. The graphics would be great for GP32, and the gameplay mechanic is tried and true. A 3D Pac Man could be done as well.

Possible uses for the Yeti 3D engine

Why does it have to be a narrow dungeon? Yeti3D can do decent sized rooms. And what if the player model was small? Like, he only takes up one cube worth of space? That'd be appropriate for a Mario clone anyways.

Possible uses for the Yeti 3D engine

Says who? Show me where it's written that 3D platformers must take place outdoors. I can envision an indoor platformer very easily.

Possible uses for the Yeti 3D engine

As we know, it's a blazing fast little engine. However it has limitations. Only 90 degree corners are allowed, for instance. Room over room cannot be done. There are no slopes. There's no submergible water to swim in. So what kinds of games could be done with this engine? Here are a few ideas...

    Official Gba Whine Thread

This reminds me of all the newbs on the DCemulation boards asking about the N64 emulator for Dreamcast....Which was a hoax....but they don't seem to care.

Developers will start porting psx games? how?

No, they likely will be ports in the same vein of the Pocketpc port of Tomb Raider 1. If you strip a PS1 game of the FMVs and compress all the audio into OGGs, you could easily fit one on an SMC. I wouldn't be surprised if yuo could get most games down to around 64 megs.

    GP64 recommended specs?

So I was thinking since the current GP is based off the dying ARM processor, the next GP system could run the 400Mhz XScale CPU. By that time the 1Ghz XScales will be out and the lower models will be alot cheaper. In addition, a floating point math processor would enable easier ports of 3D...

Help me decide between GP32 and Zodiac

Everyone *assumes* the PSP will be an open platform, but I don't see it happening. Sony has been burned by piracy before, something that plagues open platforms. Besides, it uses UMDs, a weird proprietary media. There's no UMD drive for your PC, nor is there enough memory in the PSP to store a...
