The Story Of Jonopike And His Gp32

Right, how to put this. I know a 12 year old boy who can download all the Sonic ROMs, get a private emulator from rlyeh, load them onto his GP32 which boots in 1 second, and plays Sonic at full speed. Now I don't know what this says about him. I do know what it says about you though.

    Greetings! I Am A Friend Of Cu_amiga

I could go all like "Welcome to the community" and be all nice 'n friendly to you, even though you're obviously not friendly to us, and show you all the emulators, ask you how high your GP32 OCs, act all interested 'n stuff. But I won't.

New Ram Chip, New Oc Capability?

Hmm, right, so what exactly is limiting it at 166? Or is that just crap?

New Ram Chip, New Oc Capability?

I've been fascinated with all the latest new speedtesters 'n all, but seeing as the GP32 can only overclock to 166MHz with any visible results, they're all kind of useless. I've heard that this is because the RAM can't be accessed any faster, so the CPU speed kind of gets rounded back to 166MHz...

GP32 How Fast Can You Get ? Gp32 Clockspeed Tester

58/59 with sound, at 166MHz, with FLU on. And also 58/59 without sound... :S It won't go any higher then 166MHz btw.

Any News On Wanna Be A Wizard?

Game looks seriously nice. Any news on how the combat will be? Turn-based or realtime? (Here's a guy hoping for realtime...)

    Lik-sang Gp32

Yes, it's very much worth it, but the BLU is worth it even more. A FLU, like the name says, is a Front Lit Unit, this means that the light is project onto the screen, then reflected back at you. A BLU, Back Lit Unit, projects the light from behind the screen, giving more vibrant colors. I did...

Newbie Flood Continues - Blu On Its Way!

I think he ment as host to the GP32. Could be wrong though. Pixelator, if you mean on the GP32, there is no such thing as ARM-Windows, but you probably know that. Wind-ups is just a file launcher, and gpLinux is being worked on (Which reminds me, cyberic: cable's heading your way :)).

    Weird Bugs

That sucks, I seriously suggest getting the voltage mod done. Mine sometimes overclocks to 166, but at other times (or other programs) it only overclocks to 160, not bad still... (Just out of curiosity, you wouldn't happen to have a BLU, would you?)

    Weird Bugs

Which keys are you pressing? Because B is a hold button, it presses the key, and doesn't release. A is a press 'n release button. Also, I suggest cranking the CPU speed up a little, it's under the Configuration menu. Slowly increase untill it stops clicking 'n stuff. ( I run everything with...

    Chatboard For 1 Player.

Nice idea, though pretty much unworkable. The chatboard only gives a keypress when the key is released, it doesn't say if the key is pressed constantly. (Example: say I wanted to move my character left, and I was used the WASD keys, I'd have to press and release the A key to move it one space to...

    Gp32linux And Opie :) [pda]

Hmm, sorry then, must've been in another topic. But it is possible to rotate the screen 90 degrees. Opie supports I think, and directfb has a command to rotate too.

    Sierra New Versions Classics

Yes, in theory, you can... In practice, no. You can boot them, up see the little figure, etc. But it has no chatboard support, so typing is SLOW. You're better off finding an Atari ST version, and running it in CaSTaway, which does have chatboard support.

    Os9xgp Emu Problem

What you could try is make a savestate just beyond the point where it says this, with Snes9x, and then rename it so it works with OpenSnes9x, then load it with OpenSnes...

    Animal Crossing Or Sims Clone

I don't know about the GP32 CPU, but most uCs (microcontrollers for non-electronic people), have built in standby or powersaving modes. This allows them to keep ticking a clock, but not really eating a lot of power. This would ofcourse render the on/off button obsolete, but that will only give...

    Sierra New Versions Classics

Don't count on it, but there's a slim chance if FreeSCI works in lowmem conditions. Edit: I just found out FreeSCI has a DC port, makes porting to the GP32 much easier... Edit part 2: It's also been ported to the iPaq: http://handhelds.org/z/wiki/FreeSCI

    Good And Free Gp32 Applications??

Uhm, I'm sorry? You don't have to flash in order to run Windups, Windups is just a program... It is included in some firmware though.
