    Current Keyboard Layout

There are usally two different super keys on a standard keyboard: Super_L and Super_R. So one could be a modifier and the other could bring up the menu. (Well, I have them configured on my desktop to do differnt things, so yes, it is very possible) Maybe you could move MENU or INSERT to...

    Current Keyboard Layout

Is the key below the key below the A gaming button the delete key? I'm just unfamilar with the symbol, what  is it? Well, it is as ED already said. Maybe it's a stupid question, but isn't usally every keypress a hardware interrupt? Otherwise CPU time would be wasted for polling the keyboard...

    Current Keyboard Layout

Is L2 a hareware modifier FN Key? This would result in L2 being unusable for anything else. This is nothing I would want on a shoulder button.

    Release Xash3D - Half Life

Really awesome, thank you! Sadly, long jumping is broken, so you can't even finish the tutorial level. I think you broke it when you added toggle crouch.

    JACK instead of Pulseaudio?

Pulseaudio itself is fine for me here. But pavucontrol can do some horrible things when left alone for a few days, devouring more and more memory for no obvious reason.

Where do I get one of these? Must have ;)

    GamesCom, Shoulderbuttons and Heating

Ok, I see there is sadly no place for it. Maybe think about it again when developing a successor for the pyra in a few years? ;) Edit: Last try ;) Maybe there could be a mechanical contact to a button which is placed somewhere where there is enough space on the board. Then just the plasice...

    GamesCom, Shoulderbuttons and Heating

Well, if it's not possible to move the other parts out of the way it's not going to happen of course, thats right. The antenna looks like there is some space besides it, but I don't know, maybe moving it would cause some issues because of the high frequencies. On the other side space looks more...

    GamesCom, Shoulderbuttons and Heating

I don't think there will be many. When typing on the keyboard I don't really touch the corners. In this case it shouldn't be a problem at all. When using the gaming controls that would be possible. I just played around with my pandora (closed) held the wrong way around and pretended to use the...

    GamesCom, Shoulderbuttons and Heating

This might sound crazy, but how about buttons on the other two corners, which could be pressed using your palms instead of fingers? Just turn your pandora around to test it! I think it works surprisingly well. The buttons would need a little bit more resistance though. They would have to face...

shoulder button broken - where to get spare parts?

Hi there, some block of cobblestone hit my Pandora directly on the right sholder button. The button got torn off the board and was totally destroyed (The SMD part, NOT the plastic case). Fortunatly the solder pad seems to be fine. I could solder that myself, but I'm wondering which part to get...

    Silent progress

Awesome to see those updates on the Pyra. Keep on with the good work! It was so sad when the Pandora developement blog closed :'( Oh yes! Let's use runes for the keyboard! ᛈᛁᚱᚨ ᚾᛖᛖᛞᛊ ᛗᛟᚱᛖ ᛈᛟᚾᛁᛖᛊ We should open a new thread to dicuss the exact layout though ;) You rock, woohoo!

    Pyra Docking Station with Ethernet?

Pyra with a full RJ-45 ethernet port built in won't happen, thats for sure. But I'm wondering, if the SoC used in the Pyra has Gigabit Ethernet capabilities. In this case ethernet could be featured on an expansion port, so you could use it at home on the docking station. At home I often use my...

    News from the embedded world

Wow, (1) means multiboot without having to use one of the front SD Card Slots. Thats awesome! Now I know where I'll put Debian... oh, wait ;) Pyra is going to be awesome!

    MIPI, Keymats, Batteries and Memory

I don't think so. That SSD is propably just another chip that's soldered on the mainboard. But I think it would be great if it's going to be on a small daughter-board, so that it would be replacable - maybe not replacable with standard components, but being replacable at all would be great.

A physical Dummy, Power Usage and MIPI

Sometimes when I'm running to catch the train my 1GHz Pandora resets in my pocket. I don't think this issue is gone.

    Welcome new and old members!

YARRR Pyrates! It has been some time since I was on the forums here last time, just saw the news on golem.de and came here right away. The pandora is awesome, I'm using mine a lot, but has some flaws. I'm really glad to see a really major upgrade from you guys. After all this mess with the...

    Force faster charging

echo 1000 > /sys/devices/platform/omap_i2c.1/i2c-1/1-004b/twl4030_bci/power_supply/twl4030_usb/charge_current seems to raise the current limit to 1000mA. I just don't know what's the maximum useful number to write in there.
