    Drpocketsnes 6.5.0 Caanoo

The problems might be due to the severe underclocking in the menu, either 66MHz or 120MHz, whichever it was set to when that 7.1.9b binary was made. Maybe the current(?) 300MHz menu clock will fix this freezing/crashing problem like it did for the menu noise. Anyone with freezing problems care...

    Drpocketsnes 6.5.0 Caanoo

Holding the Home button shifts the Help I and II into the Wiz volume buttons, so hold Home then Press I and II together. Also Home and Y to force the application to close.

    Ginge

Hmm, just tried GINGE with the same game files in the same location on three different SD cards, and still doesn't launch. I guess that means there may actually be a difference in the hardware after all, or it's time to re-flash my 1.6.0. Mine is a Batch Three unit, yours? (I.E. 'did it come...

    Ginge

Same here, but it wouldn't start in GINGE. What location on the card did you place it, and what firmware version were you running? Trying to collect some data, don't really feel like flashing caanoo firmwares too often for testing since I literally just killed my only SDHC card reader trying to...

    Ginge

Good to see that helped. Heh, the simple .ini's have fun issues of their own. While beating my head trying to get Dastardly Dungeon to work in GINGE (And failing. Any hints, Gab1975?), I made a wrapper script, which wouldn't even show up in the game list. Seems it didn't like the folder named...

    Ginge

Make sure you change the text editor to use proper formatting, as neither notepad2 nor notepad++ are set this way by default. For Notepad2 it is found in File/Line Endings Unix, and for Notepad++ it is Settings/Preferences/New Document-Default Directory Format Unix.

More Features To The Music Player

Or better yet, a port of Rockbox. (The rockbox-as-an-application build for android) I'm not expecting an undertaking of that size anytime soon though, obviously, though it does use SDL last time I looked...

    Ginge

I doubt that matters when it wasn't launching in the first place.

    Ginge

All the ones mentioned as working in this thread and dozens more (I've been trying anything I could grab off the archive since release). Temper will not launch either. UAE4all launches (that's a total of three!), but I don't have any amiga games to run in it. So one up, one down. There has to...

    Ginge

I've not been able to launch anything except for Cave Story and Return of the Hylian (Both GP2X) on my firmware 1.6.0 Caanoo. Tried dozens of Wiz and GP2x applications, even those 'confirmed working,' and the only difference is wether it drops back to GINGE's GP2X menu or the Caanoo menu when...

Is This The End Of The Wiz

You didn't notice the part about the prices changing. A week or two ago it was Caanoo with 4GB SD card, their branded wifi dongle, screen protector and jelly case for less from that particular vendor in Korea. None of which has anything to do with the Wiz so say we drop it?

    Firmware 1.6.0 Released

I've not gotten the built-in text reader to do much of anything in 1.6.0 other than short one or two page notes, anything else just displays a single / or at best a few lines of random text out of several pages. I never used 1.5 but the reader in 1.0.6 was able to display 200 page documents...

Optimum Sd Card For The Caanoo

I noticed that when I was using the Caanoo-branded 4GB bundle SD card (Batch 3 and up), it would take eight seconds whenever I first entered the games or apps menus, as it paused to read in all the ini files. At first I thought this was normal, since I had a lot of things installed, but when I...

    Gpsp Is Out!

Nice, thanks. I can't seem to be able to get the FPS counter to appear anymore, either through the default button or another keybind. Scaled or unscaled, not hiding under bezel. Now that overclocking works, it seems to now need a FPS limiter to prevent some games from running too fast, then...

Can I Charge My Caanoo With This Charger?

That charger should work fine. Amperage usually won't make any difference, but you should generally shoot for at least 500mA (half what that charger provides). Any lower and the battery will only charge more slowly, higher and it just won't pull any more current than the battery's controller...

    Wall Charger

I've modified a fifty cent LG 3200/7000 cable into a simple video out adapter, (All pins were populated!) but that's as far as I've looked. Seems I was wrong about the YP-S3, it only has an identical connector, needing the pins reassigned as in here. A good option for those that can't modify...

    Wall Charger

I find it easier to just use a USB wall charger personally. That way I can use the same cable for charging, wether it be a wall charger, computer, or the solar battery pack I made. A cheap Samsung YP-S3 MP3 player cable is supposedly identical if people are afraid of losing their originals...

    Gpfce For Caanoo

I had the same thing in Blaster Master (MMC1) inside the dungeons on foot with the pre-final version of gpfce, but was never able to replicate it on that or any other game so far with the final release version. What games did you experience it with, on the off chance they're related to one...
