That's weird as some other dev whos name I can't remember said that 2 connectors could be checked at the same time for 16 directions. Also Gbax says 16-way.
With experience you learn to plan stuff and to code in a more flexible and structured way without the need to get into hardcore software engineering. As long as you're the only dev or there's like one or two more coders it should be doable as long as one can keep everything in the head. For...
I'm from Sweden, the center gem of the european crown called Scandinavia :P
You missed the North Pole so now Santa can't wote
Now we know where to drop the bombs :D
I know, but nobody knows how it will work and some have speculated that you can't have separate images on TV and screen. Of course it would be exelent if you could use both independently at the same time. But then you would have to update them independently anyway. But for me it's enough if I...

Sure :)

Yeah, I think I mentioned that. The result is what some call spagethi code because when you add unplanned stuff it often gets very messy. Problem is people often make a quick fix and that might be ok the first couple of times but sooner or later you can't even understand what...
We got better jokes then that about norwegians. Although I bet most can be found in other countries as well. How many norwegians does it take to was a car? How do you sink a norwegian submarine?
I'm from Sweden as well. I've not preordered. I'm probably gonna order mine in January as things looks now. And I'll probably order from Gbax or the german site.
Thanks for the info, I guess I'll have to wait and see. Would have been nice to know now since I had a cool idea for a game but it's not like the game is based on this anyway.
The optimal situation would be if a cuntinous image could be shown on the TV while the GP2X screen was updated and vice...
From what I've heard you can't have 1 image on the screen and 1 image on a TV at the same time, correct? Is it possible to turn the TV image on and off while the TV is plugged in?
I just had this idea where you pass the GP2X to the active player but because the others shouldn't see what he does...
I'm all for some kind of review site.
Personally I'm not into coding some simple games/prototypes. I put in a lot of work into my games from planning to a complete and solid game.
Before I give any comments on the stick I would sure like to play and program for it. It's really hard to know exactly what it will be like until you actually use it. One thing I do wonder about is how far it has to be pushed. However, this improves accuracy. Still, can't say I don't like it...
The best thing with a 16 way stick is that you get better control in games with free motion like a regular shoot'em up. You will also be able to aim better in games like platformers. And finally it will be easier to control a pointer in strategy games.
I've always prefered the white one, I've just not talked about it. I've only talked about how to make the black one better and how good it looks. But just because the black looks good it doesn't mean that it looks better then the white.
Just because you buy games doesn't mean that everybody buy games. For a lone dev the game doesn't have to sell much even at a low price but the GP2X userbase is smaler then some other platforms and I've heard some people say that they would buy good games on these forums but there are more...
