OK assuming the MMSP2 does indeed have a real USB host controller on board, and that it only needs some minimal electronics to support a USB 1.1 Host connection.
How many pins of the EXT port are NOT used?
(its a 24-pin connector, cellphone style)
I would guess lots.
Even if there is a VGA output (RGB H, V Synch about 5 pins plus ground)
That would leave about 5 pins still.
A clever usb host implimentation would need just 2, (5V can't come from the GP2X anyways an external battery is still needed...)
If GPH were to change their PCB layout, would connecting the USB host to the EXT port be possible? Any Engineers here know about this kind of stuff?

- Serial (3,ish)
- TV-out (6, S-Video/Stereo sound)
